PHOTOS WITH ROMOLA GARAI
Over in Italy they are crazy enough to plan the real physical edition of Venice Film Festival in the time when all other festivals have been cancelled, and one of the films that will compete for the main prize is MISS MARX, a period set drama by Susanna Nicchiarelli. Today you can check out first
two photos from the film about bright, intelligent, passionate and free Eleanor (Romola Garai), Karl Marx’s youngest daughter. Among the first women to link the themes of feminism and socialism, she takes part in the
workers’ battles and fights for women’s rights and the abolition of child labour. In 1883 she meets Edward Aveling (Patrick Kennedy) and her life is crushed by a passionate but tragic love story. John Gordon Sinclair plays Friedrich Engels with Philip Groning as Marx himself.
