DOMINIC WEST & DAMIAN LEWIS
Damian Lewis will also executive produce
Cannot say I'm a fan of Cold War thriller genre, but I certainly am a fan of these two great British gents: Damian Lewis and Dominic West will star together in a mini TV series adaptation of Ben Macintyre's book A SPY AMONG FRIENDS over at Spectrum and BritBox (as the first original series for BBC's an ITV's streaming service). They will also produce the six episode series which is currently set for Autumn 2021 airing time.

A Spy Among Friends follows the defection of notorious British intelligence officer and KGB double agent, Kim Philby (Dominic West), through the lens of his complex relationship with MI6 colleague and close friend, Nicholas Elliott (Damian Lewis). The show examines espionage through their friendship, the fallout of which affects East-West relations to this day. Philby was a British

spy who notoriously defected to the Soviet Union in the 1950s, betraying secrets to the Russians in the early years of the Cold War. He and Elliott entered the spy game together, but as they rose through the MI6 ranks, Philby turned double agent.

  2. My mama will be happy to hear that more of The Last Kingdom will be coming her way. It is her favorite show and I bet she'll be so sad when there is no more.

    1. The fourth season was a bit disappointing, sadly, it was good, but they keep repeating the same storyline in which Uhtred always loses everything, they really need to turn his luck in the next season, otherwise people will start rioting. I love the show and the cast to bits, but sometimes you get the feeling the writers think we're stupid.

    1. It has a huge and very devoted and loving fandom. The cast deserves it, the writers not so much :)
