After the massive success of The Witcher series, which is currently shooting its second season,
Netflix has given the green light to a six part mini series prequel
THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN which will be set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, telling a story lost to

time - the origin of the very first Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “conjunction of the spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.

scripts in the original series) will be the show runner, and will executive produce it with The Witcher's creator
Lauren Schmidt Hissrich with
Andrzej Sapkowski, on whose books these series are based upon, as a creative consultant. Just like the original series with Henry Cavill, this one will also be shot over in the United Kingdom!
Now this sounds like one I'll like. My bestie loves The Witcher, so I bet she'll be pleased with this new series too.
