'FREUD' TV SERIES
TO AIR GLOBALLY ON NETFLIX
Freud hits Netflix March 23rd |
I think I will be skipping this one as it seems a tad bit too bizarre for my refined taste buds but I know there are many freaks among you who will enjoy new historical series FREUD coming from Austrian ORF
(where it premieres March 15th) and Netflix (streams from March 23rd). The series directed by Marvin Krenand stars Robert Finster, Ella Rumpf, Georg Friedrich, Christoph
Krutzler, Brigitte Kren, Anja Kling, Philipp Hochmair, Noah Saavedra.
Austrian German production shot in Czech capital Prague and Austrian
Freud will first air in Austria on ORF March 15th |
Vienna will stream next month globally at Netflix.
Crime Thriller Series Freud
blending a period setting with a contemporary style, will be a modern, sexy and suspenseful take on the life of the celebrated doctor. FREUD tells the story of the young psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud (Robert Finster) in Vienna in 1886, just as Freud's revolutionary theories are being met with strong opposition from colleagues and wider Austrian society. It is at this time he meets the war veteran and policeman Alfred Kiss (Georg Friedrich)
and
notorious medium Fleur Salomé (Ella
Rumpf) and unwittingly becomes part of a nerve-racking investigation
into a murderous conspiracy.

Usually when series try to "improve" on an historical character's life, it ends up being sensationalist crap.
