NEW SITCOM PILOTS 2020
Julie Bowen Is Raised By Wolves
|
Julie Bowen will be Frankie Wolfe in new CBS sitcom |
Continuing with the updates on new multi camera sitcom pilots that we started yesterday (Click for Part One
here, Part Two
here and Part Three
here), we move today over to
CBS who have just cast Modern Family's
Julie Bowen as the lead in their
RAISED BY WOLVES multi camera sitcom. Coming from
Will & Grace creators
Max Mutchnick and
David Kohan it will follow Frankie Wolfe (Bowen), a very successful and fiercely independent crisis manager whose world is turned upside down when she decides to let someone into her life for the first time — an 11-year-old girl who she adopts and raises with the occasional help of her fragile, nervous wreck of a sister.
Bowen’s Frankie is a totally put-together powerhouse whose aggressive, blunt-talking style belies the damage incurred by literally being raised by Wolfes (Barbara and Arnie).

Cheyenne Jackson Cast As Lead In Call Me Kat Sitcom At Fox
|
Cheyenne Jackson has been cast at Fox |
Fox, on the other hand, has cast a handsome hunk of their own:
Cheyenne Jackson has joined
Mayim Bialik in
CALL ME KAT multi camera sitcom which is actually an American version of
Miranda comedy which was very popular in United Kingdom and in which
Tom Ellis played the male lead. It revolves around Kat (Bialik), a 39-year-old woman who struggles every day against society and her mother Sheila (
Swoosie Kurtz) to prove that you cannot have everything you want — and still be happy. Which is why she spent the money her parents set aside for her wedding to open a Cat Café in Louisville, KY.
Jackson will play her high school crush, Max, who recently returned from teaching English overseas and now works as a bartender across the street from the cat café. He’s getting over a long-term relationship with an ex that Kat imagines to be the most beautiful woman in the world — but Max values personality and humour over physical attractiveness.
The mustache on Josh Segarra has moved him about two spots in the sexy department!! The premise sounds similar to Night School with Kevin Hart. Which, by the way, was sadly disappointing because Kevin's movies are usually good for a few genuine laughs.
ReplyDeleteHe is one of those flawless hunks that look even steamier with beard and moustaches. The sitcom is directly based on the film as its small screen adaptation.
Delete"Call Me Kat" sounds promising. I like the two leads.
ReplyDeleteHope it will be better than Miranda in UK, their actress was as funny as Olivia Coleman, meaning NOT AT ALL.
DeleteJulie Bowen is my least favorite actress on Modern Family, but I'd be interested to see her lead her own sitcom.
ReplyDeleteMayim Bialik tends to bore me, so I'll probably not even check out her new one.
I've never understood Modern Family so I haven't watched it myself and I agree on Mayim.
