JASON ISAACS, SOPHIA BUSH TO LEAD CBS' INTRIGUING NEW MEDICAL DRAMA GOOD SAM. TRAILER FOR SONY'S ANIMATED ADVENTURE CONNECTED

'GOOD SAM' TV SERIES
SOPHIA BUSH AND JASON ISAACS TO LEAD THE CAST
Jason Isaacs will take the lead male role
I almost never watch medical series, but I must admit this new one has a rather great premise. CBS new pilot GOOD SAM will have Jason Isaacs and Sophia Bush leading the story about Sam (Bush), a talented yet stifled heart surgeon who embraces her leadership role after her renowned and pompous boss, Griff (Isaacs), falls into a coma. When he awakens and wants to resume surgery, however, it falls to her to supervise this overbearing blowhard who never acknowledged her talents — and also happens to be her father. Isaacs’ Dr. Paul ‘Griff’ Griffith is the brilliant, arrogant, unrivalled Chief of Cardiothoracic surgery, a wizard with a scalpel. He’s notoriously hard on his residents – none more than his equally gifted daughter, Sam. But when he suddenly awakens from a months-long coma, he

learns that Sam has become the new Chief of Surgery. The only way to resume his job is as her subordinate, an arrangement which, for him, proves harder than heart surgery.

  1. Quite frankly, both sound tiresome. Or perhaps I'm just grumpy today.

    1. I think both have a strong and wholesome message - the first one that parents need to show support to their kids no matter what kind of inner demons bother them, and the second one that technology makes people disconnected.

  2. Wow, I couldn't imagine my father being my subordinate. He would probably drive me crazy enough to quit!

  3. Connected looks adorable! Allison will watch it just for the silly pug. I had to LOL when the robot couldn't distinguish between pug, pig or loaf of bread. Our black pug that passed away a few years ago, we always said she was the size and shape of a cinder block. She snored like a pig, too! And, you know I love me some Panic at the Disco, so the trailer song sucked me right in ;)

    1. That was the funniest scene in the trailer :) How is your new dog coping with the new brothers?

    2. The little dog thinks he runs the show here. He bullies the two bigger ones and they just don’t know what to think. I’m surprised they’ve been patient with him. I know there are times they’d like to bite his head off, but they know mama will yell at them if they so much as look at him sideways, so they let him be LOL.

    3. That is how our Lyrna is behaving even though she came to the house after Snezhana.

    4. Exactly! I think Lyrna and Chase should have their own reality show. Battle of the bitches.

    5. There would be no winner in that reality show, just tons of casualties.

  4. Love the trailer for Connected.

I've kind of been in a similar position as the dad in the medical drama when my new supervisor turned out to be one of my daughter's chums in high school.
