'DEATH ON THE NILE'
A new star has joined the latest movie adaptation of Agatha Christie's DEATH ON THE NILE! Director and actor Kenneth Branagh has revealed that White Princess star Jodie Comer will form the film's leading trio with Armie Hammer and Gal Gadot! In the film scheduled for December 2019 Branagh will again play famous detective Hercule Poirot beside directing the movie.
The film will see him investigating a murder during a luxurious
cruise on the Nile River that he just happens to be on. But just as he
identifies a motley collection of would-be killers, several of the
suspects also meet their demise, which only deepens the mystery. His new
adventure was teased in the end of his previous adaptation Murder on
the Orient Express which featured a massively stellar cast but lacked in
quality and atmosphere.
CELIA IMRIE TO BAKE CAKES
WITH RUPERT PENRY JONES IN LOVE SARAH ROMANTIC DRAMA
One of our absolute faves, British thespian Celia Imrie is heading to the kitchen! As Screen Daily reports, she will join Bill Paterson, Shannon Tarbet, Shelley Conn and Rupert Penry Jones in LOVE SARAH,
which follows a young woman who enlists the help of her mother’s best friend and her eccentric estranged grandmother to fulfil her late mother’s dream of opening a bakery in Notting Hill. The shooting is under way in London.
Israeli-British chef and food writer Yotam Ottolenghi is providing the cakes and pastries that will be used in the film. |
I do like Branagh as Poirot!
ReplyDeleteas Poirot yes, but the movie itself was ghastly boring, what a waste of the cast that movie was.
DeleteThe combination of Agatha Christie, queen of mystery books, and the mighty river Nile, makes us shiver with delight and expectation.
ReplyDelete'Love Sarah' will probably make the viewers' mouths water with all those baked goodies on the screen.
there's nothing better than a movie about food! I've recently watched your Israeli movie The Cakemaker and it was rather nice.
DeleteArmie Hammer seems to finally be coming into his own as a movie star. He's getting better roles all the time now.
ReplyDeletesadly, together with his career the hatred for him spreads too, as he really often is an utter gorgeous prick.
DeleteOooh, I dream of owning a bakery in London too. Love Sarah sounds like my kind of flick!
ReplyDeleteI'd be the part of the inventory :) We'd have a purple bug too to carry around our cakes in it :) And a bakery cat too to greet the customers.
DeleteA tea plantation and a bakery. We are racking up our business credentials!
