Currently gracing the small screens over at Irish RTE is four episode mini TV series THE BOY THAT NEVER WAS based on the Sunday Times best-selling debut novel by the same name by Irish author Karen Perry.
The series will air on Irish RTE
To air on Ireland's national broadcaster it stars Colin Morgan, Toni O’Rourke, Kerr Logan, Simon Callow, and is directed by award-winning director Hannah Quinn (Vikings: Valhalla).
Essaouira, Morocco. A bustling, vibrant, seductive city, now home to struggling artists Harry, Robin and their three-year-old son, Dillon. With little support, adapting to life as new parents in their friend Cosmo’s tiny apartment hasn’t been easy, but despite the sleep deprivation, the couple remain devoted to their little boy. Well, you know how much I love a good apocalyptic series and Netflix is giving us one next year: based on the eponymous graphic novel by Héctor Germán Oesterheld and Francisco Solano López, the six episode live-action adaptation THE ETERNAUT arrives on Netflix in 2025.
 
  WHAT IS THE STORY OF ETERNAUT
 When a rare snow begins falling in Buenos Aires, it kills everything it touches in an instant leading to millions of deaths. Is it nuclear war or something even more sinister? Those that survive suit up in gas masks and layers to stave off death and fight an increasingly violent unseen force that’s trailing their every move. One of the survivors, a man named Juan Salvo (Ricardo Darin), emerges as the leader of the resistance against an imperceivable threat. And he’s determined to fight back against this invisible force. NETFLIX REVEALS STREAM DATE AND A TEASER FOR THE LAW ACCORDING TO LIDIA POET PERIOD SET ITALIAN SERIES

Quite unexpectedly, the 2nd season of Italy's period set series THE LAW ACCORDING TO LIDIA POET has been announced for October 30th over at Netflix. Lidia (Matilda de Angelis) is not allowed to be a lawyer because she is a woman. So this time she aims even higher, she wants to change the law. While she continues to collaborate with her brother Enrico (Eduardo Scarpetta), tackling new cases and fighting for women’s rights, she wants to convince him to run for Parliament so that her law can finally find a voice. Lidia is completely done with love, especially with Jacopo (Pier Luigi Pasino), responsible for having sold the family villa and on a collision course with all the Poëts. But Jacopo and Lidia are forced to meet again to share, reluctantly, a secret investigation that concerns them closely, rediscovering the complicity and fun that has always bound them. Giving a hard time to the protagonists, the new King’s Attorney, Fourneau (Gianmarco Saurino), a man of the institutions who unexpectedly treats Lidia as his equal, prompting her to question the complex and contradictory relationship she has with feelings, and the cost of personal renunciation that she is sustaining in the name of her ideals.

We have the first image of Harry Lawtey and Toby Jones in MR. BURTON biopic which will tell the true story of the relationship between Welsh schoolmaster Philip Burton and a wild young schoolboy called Richard Jenkins. The latter dreamed of becoming an actor, but his ambitions were in danger of being derailed by a combination of family trouble, the pressure of war, and his own lack of discipline. Mr. Burton recognized the raw talent in his pupil, and made it his mission to fight for him, becoming his tutor, strict taskmaster and eventually his adoptive father. Actor Burton would go on to be nominated for seven Oscars and was well known for his turbulent marriage to Elizabeth Taylor. Aneurin Barnard and Lesley Manville also star.

The first season scored success for BBC in UK so the second season of wartime series SAS: ROGUE HEROES is ready to get back on the broadcaster sometime soon and to MGM+ in USA. In the new season Jack O’Connell, Connor Swindells, Sofia Boutella and Dominic West are joined by new cast members Gwilym Lee, Con O’Neill, Mark Rowley, Jack Barton and others. 
 
ORIGINALLY INSPIRED BY
Ben Macintyre’s best-selling book of the same name, series two returns to action with the troops in Spring 1943. Paddy Mayne (Jack O’Connell) takes control of the SAS following David Stirling’s (Connor Swindells) capture, and now attention must turn from the conflict in North Africa to mainland Europe. But GHQ have cast doubt over the future of the regiment, while the creation of a second unit and an influx of new arrivals make things even more difficult for the men. Can they prove that the SAS remain essential to the war, wherever it may lead them? 


 WHO IS IN THE SQUAD NOW?
Gwilym Lee joins the cast as Bill Stirling, David Stirling’s brother and founder of the 2SAS regiment, while Con O’Neill appears as General Montgomery. Theo Barklem-Biggs, Corin Silva, Jacob Ifan, Jacob McCarthy, Stuart Campbell, and Bobby Schofield also return for duty in series two. Among the brigade’s new recruits are Mark Rowley and Jack Barton, who will play SAS members Jock McDiarmid and John Tonkin respectively. Further new cast members include Stuart Thompson, Paolo De Vita, Anna Manuelli, Edward Bennett and Matteo Franco.

While talking to Hollywood Reporter about the potential second season of Prime Video and Peacock's Ancient Rome epic series Those About to Die, which could have flashbacks into The Year of Four Emperors with all the Nero drama, Roland Emmerich has revealed that he might do a three season historical series LAWRENCE IN ARABIA his own take on the legendary Peter O'Toole movie. He is writing it with Anthony McCarten and says it will have more characters than the film. They are pitching it next month.

Max has revealed the cast for their new French original series MERTEUIL which has just started shooting in Normandy with Anamaria Vartolomei (Isabelle de Merteuil), Diane Kruger (Madame de Rosemonde), Vincent Lacoste (Vicomte de Valmont) and Lucas Bravo (Comte de Gercourt). With grandiose and intimate settings, from the cliffs of  Normandy to the châteaux of Ile-de-France, the series follows Marquise de Merteuil who, betrayed by Valmont, embarks on a daring journey to become Paris’ leading courtesan! To be the hero of your own story, you sometimes have to be the villain in others. It will be a free adaptation of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Baz Luhrmann is currently preparing a new project and it will be his own take on the famous historical story of Joan of Arc titled JEHANNE D'ARC. Luhrmann and Warner Bros are as of today searching for a teenage girl to play the young French peasant who believed God had sent her to lead an army. She believed she would save her country during the Hundred Years’ War. It will be the ultimate teenage girl coming of age story, set in the Hundred Years’ War in the 15th century.
