FIRST TV SERIES IMAGES
FROM GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY
I have first images from two new shows for you today, starting with NBC's GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY which will follow four members of a suburban garden club, all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom. Ben Rappaport is Brett, cool in a threadbare kind of way, he put
his own dreams of starting a car restoration business on hold so his
wife (now ex-wife) could finish law school. Melissa Fumero
is Birdie. Entitled, rich, swathed in Chanel, a smoker, a drinker,
self-destructive at times, toxic at others, but not without real pain
beneath her facade. Aja Naomi King plays Catherine, an unhappily married mother of two younger children, a realtor who works off some of her loneliness with a very juicy secret. Matthew Davis is Joel, a police officer whom Birdie takes an interest in. Anna Sophia Robb is Alice, your favorite high school English teacher, a dreamer whose best dreams are crashing down on her. Alexander Hodge plays Doug, Alice’s husband.
FROM YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS
We
also have first image from a new series that is hitting Apple TV +
April 11th. YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS has already been ordered for the
second season as well with Jon Hamm playing a disgraced hedge fund
manager still grappling with his recent divorce, who starts robbing his
affluent neighbors in order to keep his family living to the standard to
which they've become accustomed. Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Aimee Carrero
and Amanda Peet also star.
Still likes Jon Hamm in Mad Men...the role of a hedge fund manager sounds perfect for him.
ReplyDeleteHe will always play pretty much the same character, methinks.
DeleteI've strayed too far. Happy New Year. I'm from Indonesia
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you as well
DeleteRobbing your neighbors isn't smart, he's gonna get caught. lol
ReplyDeleteIt will be a delight to watch him get caught.
DeleteI think I'd like both of these. I'd like to join a gardening club. Idk if there are any in our town, but I think it would be fun to join as a community activity.
ReplyDeleteI am only thinking how do they reach a consensus on where and what to plant without having quarrels and wars.
DeleteGood question. I see a lot of little community gardens around churches and such, but I never know if it's ok to go in and look at what they've planted or to help with the weeding. I assume they donate the produce to the food pantry, so it's probably what kind of veggies they can grow quickly and in abundance that is more mainstream like tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers.
DeleteI don't think that these in the series have a veggie garden, I think it is a flower garden, but I am not sure.
