Prime Video has released first trailer for their new Biblical
HOUSE OF DAVID historical series which will depict the ascent of biblical icon, David (
Michael Iskan- der) who eventually becomes the most famous king of Israel. The series, set to open with three episodes on
February 27th follows the once-mighty King Saul (
Ali Suliman) as he falls victim to his own pride. At the
direction of God, the prophet Samuel (
Stephen Lang) anoints an unlikely, outcast teenager as the new king. As Saul loses his power over his kingdom,
David finds himself
on a journey to discover and fulfill his destiny, navigating love, loss
and violence in the court of the very man he’s destined to replace.
For

Saul's wife Queen Ahinoam will be played by
Ayelet Zurer, Goliath by
Martyn Ford,
Indy Lewis stars as Mychal and
Yali Topol Margalith as
Mirab, Saul’s daughters,
Ethan Kai as Jonathan, Saul’s son and heir apparent.
Oded Fehr is Abner, Saul’s advisor,
Louis Ferreira is Jesse, David’s father,
Davood Ghadami is Eliab, David’s eldest brother and
decorated warrior in King Saul’s army, and
Ashraf Barhom is Doeg, a mysterious
Edomite, and Alexander Uloom who plays King Achish.
I will pass this one...the young man doesn't look like an Israeli at all.
ReplyDeleteHe looks terrible, no star power or charisma whatsoever, will be difficult to follow a series with him as a lead. Kinda like that talentless brat Chalamet.
