  VORTEX SF TV SERIES
ARRIVES TO NETFLIX FRIDAY
Arriving to Netflix this Friday, June 2nd, after already becoming a huge hit over in France last year, is new science fiction series VORTEX which
The series starts this Friday on Netflix
sees Tomer Sisley leading the cast of the six part mystery miniseries as Ludovic Béguin, a captain in the judicial police in Brest. It’s 2025, and virtual reality (VR) technology has progressed to the point where it has become a valuable crime-solving tool for the police. Reminiscent of the holodeck in the Star Trek universe, this technology lets Ludovic analyze details large and small of the crime scene where a woman was found drowned on a beach — without having to be there. But the VR is not without glitches, and it is precisely because of a glitch that Ludovic is able to reconnect with Mélanie (Camille Claris), the mother of his daughter, Juliette (Anaïs Parello), and the love of his life
Vortex will stream in six episodes
— a woman long dead. This glitch has allowed a temporal rift to open, so Ludovic can communicate with Mélanie before her death 27 years ago. Interestingly, she died on the same beach in Brest as the deceased woman in Ludovic’s current investigation. As he delves further into both cases, he discovers that the deaths of both women are connected: they were both murdered. Ludovic desperately wants to save Mélanie from the killer, but changing the past has consequences in the present, thanks to the butterfly effect. For Ludovic, preventing Mélanie’s death could cost him his own life in the here and now, the one it took him so long to rebuild and that has given him his new wife, Parvana (Zineb Triki), and their son, Sam. Netflix has not issued an English language trailer, sadly, but you can check out the French one below and tell us what you think.

  1. I wish there were more shows and movies with VR tech in them, I'm fascinated by that and what they could do with it if you leave reality behind.

    1. It is interesting that there is an idea that sometime in the future we will be able to upload our conscience into the virtual world and thus we will be able to live in a way after death as well.

  3. Um, wasn't Astrid a blond hair white viking in the movie? The actress is very pretty, but not who I would have cast as the character.

    1. They might dye her hair blonde for the film. At least they did not cast a black Viking LOL Lil Mermaid is flopping real hard around the world, scoring monies only in USA LOOOOL It has 40% one star marks at IMDB out of ten stars LOL

    2. Well, technically she's biracial, so in a sense they did. Thandie Newton is her mom I just learned. I figured Little Mermaid was probably going to do well here. Again, the actress is very pretty who plays the mermaid, but not who I would have cast. I know I'll probably still watch it when it hits Disney+ though because curiosity will get the better of me LOL

    3. Oy, I have just learned she is her mom too, so another freakin' nepobaby!
You find Halley pretty? I thought she had the ugliest snout ever LOL

    4. I do think there is something unique about Halley's looks and she has a beautiful smile. Not a fan of her nose either, but sometimes it's those features that are different that can be intriguing to look at.

    5. I cannot stand either the look of her not her acting, makes me wanna puke. And her sluttish, cheap fashion style.... disgusting creature.

    6. Tell us how you really feel LOL! I don't know anything about her as a person nor her fashion outside of Little Mermaid so I can't comment on her as a person. I will forever think Disney had an agenda casting her as Ariel though.

    7. You should see the slutty garbage she was wearing on all the premieres, highly fugly and vulgar dragging her massive boobies behind her constantly.
