KATHARINE MCPHEE, EDDIE CIBRIAN TO LEAD COUNTRY COMFORT SITCOM FROM NANNY CREATOR AT NETFLIX! PLUS ALL OTHER 2020 COMEDY PILOT ORDERS

     'COUNTRY COMFORT' SITCOM
FROM THE NANNY CREATOR
It is that time of the year when networks are ordering pilots for possible new TV comedies and if you already miss Fuller House which ends this year,
Katharine McPhee will take the female lead
Netflix has ordered another new wholesome, family multicamera sitcom. COUNTRY COMFORT will star Katharine McPhee and Eddie Cibrian in the ten episode comedy series created, as Netflix reveals,  by former The Nanny executive producer Caryn Lucas.

  Country Comfort
When her career and personal life get derailed, an aspiring young country singer named Bailey (Katharine McPhee) takes a job as a nanny for a rugged cowboy named Beau (Eddie Cibrian) and his five children (Ricardo Hurtado, Jamie Martin Mann, Pyper Braun,
Eddie Cibrian will star in Country Comfort
Shiloh Verrico and Griffin McIntyre). With a never-give up attitude and loads of Southern charm, this newbie-nanny is able to navigate the family dynamics and be the mother figure they’ve been missing. To her surprise, Bailey also gets the band she’s been missing in this musically talented family who help get her back on the road to stardom.

Pilots At Other Networks!
CBS has meanwhile, ordered a pilot for WE THE JURY, multicam sitcom  about a group of jurors who are sequestered together until they all agree on a verdict and they can’t even agree on lunch. They've also ordered Chuck Lorre's B POSITIVE about a dad trying to find a kidney donor, who forms an unlikely bond with a rough around the edges woman from his past who

volunteers her own. ABC has ordered MY VILLAGE pilot about an empty nester mom who wonders how she ended up alone while her children live their best lives thousands of miles away. She decides her place is with her family and as she reinserts herself into their lives, her kids realize they might actually need her more than they thought. NBC has given a green light to JEFFERIES multicam sitcom starring Jim Jefferies as a fictionalized version of himself – a comedian with a unique and often controversial take on modern life, relationships and co-parenting with his best friend. NBC has also picked up a pilot for NIGHT SCHOOL about a unique mix of adults at a night school GED prep class who unexpectedly bond over their shared experience and find themselves helping each other both inside and outside of the classroom!

  1. Is she from American Idol? These seem OK, but nothing I would go out of my way to watch, especially not My Village. A show about a woman with an empty nest may make me depressed.. lol

    1. She is. I think most of these will depend on how good or bad the cast will be. And whether they will get good names for them. My prediction is that season Fall 2020 will be even sadder than the last one was.
