'DREAM HORSE' TRAILER
STARRING TONI COLLETTE AND DAMIAN LEWIS
Here's something uplifting ahead of the weekend (at least if you are a human, I don't think horses actually enjoy being forced to race which
is why Hollywood Spy officially does not support horse racing) - first trailer and posters for inspirational comedy drama DREAM HORSE with Toni Collette and Damian Lewis which hits UK cinemas April and US ones May 1st (unless corona virus closes all cinemas).
Euros Lyn directs the new movie |
Hearts Will Race
The film tells the inspiring true story of Dream Alliance, an unlikely race horse bred by small town Welsh bartender, Jan Vokes (Toni Collette). With very little money and no experience, Jan convinces her neighbours to chip in their meagre earnings to help raise Dream in the hopes he can compete with the racing elites. The
group's investment pays
off as Dream rises through the ranks with grit and determination and
goes on to race in the Welsh Grand National showing the heart of a true
champion.

Looks like a three-hanky weeper, as they say!
ReplyDeleteHope they don't shoot the horse in the end :(
DeleteHave you been affected by corona virus in Serbia yet? I see a lot of my Asian friends and even some in Europe have their schools and public spaces closed to help with the spreading of the virus. While we are a bit concerned about it here, it's business as usual for us. Nothing closed and no shortages on groceries so far. I was worried when we were in California and Washington, but here in the Midwest, nobody is really talking much about it.
ReplyDeleteNot yet, deary, but it is only a matter of time or days, as it is already in the neighbouring Croatia, Romania and Macedonia. Our schools were already closed for two weeks during regular flu last month. Our government is idiotic so I don't expect they have any plan for it, they will just let us die as usual LOL There are no masks, for example, in shops, they say two of our factories will make about million masks till March 15th, but we have 7 million people and by then half of the country could be infected :) I'd expect for a country to have stocks of masks and disinfectants to give away to people for free, but not ours and I'm not surprised. My friend in Italy, up in the infected region, tells me they have no disinfectants to buy in shops so mine is not the only rotten country, sadly. We haven't had a flu in my house for about a decade or more, ever since dad died, but if I catch it from somewhere I expect I'd die within days LOL, so if you not hear from me for a few days I'm probably smelling violets from the other side :)
DeleteLet's keep our fingers crossed you and I both stay on this side of the violets :)
DeleteHope dies last unless the virus finds us first LOL I'm hoping if I was safe from flu for a decade or more, I might be safe from this one too.
DeleteEep! I hope the coronavirus doesn’t spread to the point that even the theaters close...although we are in panic over here. The first official case has hit NYC. I watch the live updates on my phone to freak myself out a little more. I’m not big on horse races, but my mothers loves horse racing. She thinks the horses do like to race, but to a limit. People take it too far, like everything else. Did You watch Jumaji 2 yet? It reminds me of a scene from there where a camel asks its potential riders “how much do you weigh and how much luggage do you have?”
ReplyDeleteThey are already closed in Italy and China, many big events will be cancelled too, possibly, Olympics, Cannes, Eurosong etc.
