NETFLIX RELEASES TRAILER
FOR THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE OF ASHLEY GARCIA SITCOM
If you are looking for something carefree and wholesome to binge watch with your kids and family this month, February 17th is the date when
Netflix will start streaming the first, sixteen episode, season (it will be divided into two parts) of their new multi camera sitcom THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE OF ASHLEY GARCIA. Judging from the trailer below, beside the obviously terrible and unconvincing lead actress, the comedy will have tons of cheap cheesiness, so be warned! Paulina Chavez plays Ashley Garcia, the world's only 15 and a half year old robotics engineer and rocket scientist, who gets the chance to work for NASA. She moves across the country to live with her Uncle Victor (Latin superstar Jencarlos Canela), a pro football player turned high school coach.

Tons of cheap cheesiness is normally a good thing for a weekend binge, but this one doesn't seem like my type of cheesiness!
ReplyDeleteMine neither, although I wanted it to be, just looks unfunny and the acting is atrocious.
DeleteDefinitely cheesy, but okay for the teen crowd. I do love it when shows highlight smart, ambitious girls instead of trying to cater to the “I want to be a YouTube or Instagram influencer” set that so many young girls are trying to be lately. Showing off your brain is far sexier than showing off your body, IMO.
ReplyDeleteEven that horrid Jen from Last Man Standing wants to become influencer in the latest episodes...
DeleteAnother reason to dislike her then.
DeleteShe's unbearable!
