Just watched Outlaw King, is Robert becoming a thing?
ReplyDeletehope this one will be better than that Outlaw King crap, I swear I almost died watching that borefest, and so many wasted actors in it...
DeleteThe only hero the brits and the scots wish for at present, is someone who can help them with Brexit and "make Britain great again"(to paraphrase D.Trump).
ReplyDeleteBrits are always ever so arrogant!
DeleteI hope they have the spider story in this movie.
ReplyDeletewhat spider story, Debs?
DeleteOh you know, that old story about how Robert the Bruce was hiding in a cave, being hunted by the English and about to give up his quest to free Scotland, when he saw a spider who was spinning the anchor thread for its web. Every time the thread got destroyed, the spider patiently began again and ultimately succeeded. Apparently that inspired him not to give up. It's probably apocryphal but it's one of Scotland's enduring stories.
DeleteI haven't heard it before!
DeleteGotta love how they drag their heels from announcement to release. I think it's bee so long since you've told us about this one, I don't remember the original post here about it.
ReplyDeleteit is a smaller project, it usually takes years to gather monies in such cases... some never even end up finished.
DeleteIt's a historical fiction film. I'll watch it no matter what!
ReplyDeletethe cast is certainly great!
