TIMOTHEE CHALAMET IS
'THE KING' HENRY V FOR NETFLIX
|
Timothee is nominated for an Oscar this year |
While we are waiting to see
Chris Pine as a Scottish hero Robert the Bruce in
Outlaw King later this year, it seems
Netflix is preparing another royal project.
THE KING will star Oscar nominee
Timothee Chalamet as king Henry V! Tom Hiddleston, Jude Law, Kenneth Branagh and Laurence Olivier were just some of the actors who portrayed the king famous for the battle at Agincourt.
THE KING, directed by David Michod, will see Chalamet playing the
king who, after his brother is killed in battle before his coronation,
takes over the crown in the early 1400s. The reluctant ruler wears the
crown at a time when England was near a war with France, and the empire
is teetering. He rises to the occasion, admirably.
'ROBERT THE BRUCE'
ANGUS MACFADYEN TO PLAY THE LEGENDARY SCOTTISH HERO
|
Angus will repeat his role from Braveheart! |
Speaking of Robert the Bruce, there is another projects currently in plan about him! As 'Deadline' reports,
Angus Macfadyen will lead epic drama
ROBERT THE BRUCE playing the famous warrior who took the Scottish crown.
Richard Gray is directing the cast that also has
Terror star
Jared Harris,
Black Sails star
Zach McGowan,
Vikings star
Diarmaid Murtagh, Shane Coffey, Kevin McNally and
Patrick Fugit. The movie will follow a widow Moira (
Anna Hutchison) and her child (
Gabriel Bateman), niece (
Talitha Bateman) and nephew who save the King of Scotland, Robert The Bruce. It is interesting that MacFadyen has already played the hero back in
Braveheart and this film continues its story!
TWO Robert the Bruce movies coming out? An embarrassment of riches!
ReplyDeleteAt least Bruce Willis ain't starring in any of them...

DeleteJason is trying to scrap one of our trip visits in favor of going to Scotland. I'm tempted to say yes, but he'd go for the whisky tours and I'd go for the hot kilted men, and these are both things neither of the girls would be interested in so it's a no go. We'll just have to wait until it's just him and me traveling without them brats ;)
ReplyDeleteIf you ask me you should definitelly use the opportunity to visit Scottish castles, lochs and hills!
DeleteI'm thinking in about 2 years we will hit up Scotland. This will probably be the last summer vacation with Mariah since she'll more than likely be interning during the summers starting next year, so we're letting her guide most of the vacation. Allison is still pissed off about not getting to the Bahamama, but we told her we'd take her next year while Mariah is off doing her own thing.
Deleteoh, my, today's milennials pissed off because they're going to Paris and London.... God save us all.
DeleteShe's a freakin' drama queen. I'm seriously going to feel so bad for her future husband (and secretly thankful he took her off our hands hahaha) She's just mad because she wants to swim with the damn pigs. I did tell her we'd stop and try to ram heads with some goats in Ireland, so she's happy again. You just gotta throw some animals into the mix to keep her happy.
Deletemaybe she can swim with some Berkshire piggies in England? They do have nice rivers you know :)
DeleteIf she has an attitude, we may just toss her into one of those nice rivers :P
DeleteBerkshire pigs are the cutest, by the way
DeleteI will be watching both of these! Thanks for info DEZ!
