FIRST 'RED JOAN' PICS
WITH JUDI DENCH AS KGB'S LONGEST SERVING BRITISH SPY
First pictures have been released of Judi Dench and Sophie Cookson in RED JOAN! They both play
English born Joan Stanley, a Soviet and communist party sympathizer, who becomes employed as a British
government civil servant, and gets recruited by the KGB in the mid 1930s. She successfully transfers nuclear bomb secrets to the Soviet Union, which enables
them to keep up with the west in the development of atomic weapons, and remains undetected as a spy for over a half a century. Tom Hughes also stars in the movie which does not have a release date!

'7 DAYS IN ENTEBBE' TRAILER
INSPIRED BY TRUE EVENTS
The movie is out this March |
In July 1976, an Air France flight from Tel-Aviv to Paris via Athens
was hijacked and forced to land in Entebbe, Uganda. The Jewish
passengers were separated and held hostage in demand to release many
terrorists held in Israeli prisons. After much debate, the Israeli
government sent an elite commando unit to raid the airfield and release
the hostages.
I want to see both these movies! I remember watching the Entebbe hostage situation on TV when I was a university student.
ReplyDeleteI hear there were some movies on it made already back in the 80s
DeleteJudy Dench and KGB spy - that's a great combination!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely!
DeleteBoth do sound good! But again, we don't want to hear ugly things before we head off to Paris ourselves. I'm having a mini panic attack after watching that demon child scream on an 8 hour flight. I don't know how I'll be able to keep my composure if I have to hear 8 hours of screaming on an airplane.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the video but I did not put the sound on, I'm not crazy. I've always said there need to be a smacking squad which would go around smacking uncaught people and idiots. Having in mind all the terrorist attacks, I'm not sure you chose the right time to go sightseeing, deary
DeleteYes, Jason just found out we'll be arriving in Paris on Bastille Day and now he's all worried. I told him to suck it up since we just shelled out a boat load of money for this trip. Hopefully, if there is an attack, the odds will be in our favor not to get plowed down by a car or blown up. I hope they beef up their security for it!
DeleteHope dies last... oh, that sounded so spooky ironic :) My people are crazy, when there were terrorist attacks in Egypt, Turkey and Tunisia, the only tourists that wouldn't leave the resorts were Serbs :) We're like - we've survived bombs, wars and other menace ain't some crazy Jihadists ruinin' me holiday :) The same with fires in Greece every summer, Serbs being the only one frolicking on burning beaches....
DeleteYa'll got balls of steel, that's for sure. I imagine with what you all have been through, not much can knock you down. Take the trip and say to hell with those terrorists!
Deleteit goes so far that nobody is even trying to save us from foreign countries when an attack happens there :) All other countries send in help and plains but not ours, we just leave our tourists to sunbathe on burning beaches or swim in terrorist infested swimming pools at Tunisian hotels :) We're really cool as ice
DeleteIt's interesting to see the movie based on the true event. And Idi Amin! now that's something to see
ReplyDeletehope the movie won't glamorize terrorism like they often do :(
