Roland Emmerich is directing Maya Lord |
Some four years ago the spy
informed you that
Roland Emmerich got movie rights on
MAYA LORD from
John Coe Robbins and now it seems the production of the movie set in the 16th century is moving on! It will follow a solider, Guerrero, and a priest, Aguilar, who survive a violent shipwreck in the Yucatan Peninsula where they get captured by a fierce Mayan tribe. With no hope for escape, the brilliant and pragmatic adventurer Gonzalo Guerrero chooses to adopt the Mayan culture as his own, while the uncompromising Father Aguilar holds fast to his Christian faith. The conquistadors arrive and test the will of both men as they take different warring paths!

Deadline reports that Judy Garland biopic is getting new cast:
Finn Wittrock will play her fifth husband Mickey Deans, while
Jessie Buckley will be her assistant in
JUDY which will see
Renee Zellweger playing the famous actress in winter 1968, 30 years after
The Wizard Of Oz. When she arrives in Swinging London to prepare for a sell-out run at
The Talk of the Town, she battles with management, charms musicians and reminisces with friends and adoring fans. Even her dreams of romance seem undimmed as she embarks on

Jessie Buckley will play in the movie which will also feature Judy's songs |
a courtship with Deans. And yet Garland is fragile. After working for 45 of her 47 years, she is exhausted; haunted by memories of a childhood lost to Hollywood and gripped by a desire to be back home with her kids.
Judy Garland's tragically erratic life and health owed more to her being a drug addict than any other factor. And of course it was the movie studio system that forced her onto amphetamines in the first place in order to control her weight.
ReplyDeleteHow horrible, that is what happens when they sell their soul to the devil for fame and money
DeleteI wanted to sell my soul to the devil for fame and money, but he said I was unworthy.
ReplyDeleteDevil is cunning
DeleteI don't love the idea of Renee playing Judy. She's another one of those plastic surgery gone wrong cases we were just talking about.
ReplyDeleteyes, totally unrecognisable .. not that I don't understand them... their job demands youthful looks... but maybe try natural treatments if you already have money instead of going to bad surgeons
Delete"Natural treatments" don't work, Dezzy. Aging is itself a natural process.
DeleteWhat do you mean they don't work? Everybody thinks I'm ten or even more years younger :)
