The whores return with revenge July 11th! |
2ND SEASON OF HARLOTS
will again follow the
Wells family, led by matriarch Margaret (Samantha Morton). When her daughter Charlotte (Jessica Brown Findlay) places herself in the brothel of arch-rival bawd Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville)
in order to secretly help her mother by digging up her enemy's secrets,
their toxic and deep-set rivalry is taken to a dangerous
new level.
Meanwhile, alluring and wealthy
socialite Lady Fitz (Liv Tyler) is drawn by Charlotte into the
plot against Lydia, as well. As you can see from the trailer some
characters will be lost forever, some new will arrive as well!
Liv Tyler joins the cast as Lady Fitz who also wants to destroy Lydia Quigley |
It looks like a very provocative drama series. I'm sure viewers of season 1 are already impatient to watch season 2 episodes. After all it's about sex work.
ReplyDeletethere isn't much sex as one would expect, there isn't any nakedness in it even. It is more about rivalry and female destiny at that time.
DeleteLiv Tyler is simply a goddess, if you ask me!

she will be happy to hear it!
DeleteWhy can't we have 20 episode seasons anymore? 8 just feels like such a rip off. I always forget what happens between seasons when there are so few shows and such a long period between them. I am catching back up on the rest of Fuller House right now and hardly remember a thing from last season :(
ReplyDeleteSometimes I like it when they have just ten as they put more effort in them, but just eight episodes, as in Victoria, Jamestown, Poldark, Last Kingdom, is just not enough because they end before they truly begin :( I felt robbed because of that with White Princess and Last Kingdom. Ten should be the absolute minimum. The worst is when they have about 16 episodes but they split them midseason like with Empire and TWD, and you totally lose interest. I've also noticed a new trend this summer of packing a ten episode sitcom season into just five weeks with two eps side by side each week as they are doing now with Marlon and Young and Hungry. That is just a month of enjoying your fave comedies :(
DeleteLose interest is correct. You get a little nibble, then when you can't get anymore, you move on to other things. And they wonder why ratings aren't like what they used to be.
DeleteThat is what happens to Empire, they begin, give you two episodes, make a football break for two weeks, then give you two more eps, then make a mysterious week break, give you another ep, then go to Christmas break and return three months later and expect you to have the same interest for remaining eight eps.... yea, right.
DeleteLiv Tyler isn't a harlot. Her father is.
ReplyDeleteand ugly one indeed
DeleteNot worth a dime.
