Meanwhile, Netflix has dropped the first trailer and photos for their A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS mini series which will be released around the world on January 13th! A small screen adaptation of Lemony Snicket book's it brings the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, whose evil guardian Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight episode series also stars Patrick Warburton, Joan Cusack, Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes.

The greatest of news, people! One of our most beloved Irish hunks Jamie Dornan is in talks to star in ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS according to 'The Hollywood Reporter'! The not so great news: he won't be playing the hood wearing Robin even though he is kinda the biggest star in the cast. If he accepts the role in the film in which young Tarton Egerton is to play Robin, Dornan would play Will Scarlett!

In Lionsgate's version of the Robin Hood legend, to be directed by Otto Bathurst, Jamie Foxx will play Little John and Eve Hewson will portray Maid Marian!  Jamie Dornan would play Will Scarlett, one of Robin's brave Merry Men who is the hot headed wearer of fine clothes and the best swordsman of the bunch. In this version of the legend, which starts shooting in Hungary in January, he is Marian’s husband, who will be none too happy when he learns that she loves the outlaw.

'THE WHOLE TRUTH' TRAILER

Two trailers for you today, the first one for a new Keanu Reeves drama movie THE WHOLE TRUTH which is out next month.  Defense attorney Richard Ramsay (Keanu Reeves) takes on a personal case when he swears to his widowed friend, Loretta Lassiter (Renée Zellweger), that he will keep her son Mike (Gabriel Basso) out of prison. Charged with murdering his father, Mike initially confesses to the crime. But as the trial proceeds, chilling evidence about the kind of man that Boone Lassiter (Jim Belushi) really was comes to light. While Ramsay uses the evidence to get his client acquitted, his new colleague Janelle (Gugu Mbatha Raw) tries to dig deeper. And he begins to realize that the whole truth is something she alone can uncover.

The first trailer has also finally been released for sf adventure PASSENGERS with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence which  takes place on a space ship transporting thousands of people to a distant colony planet in suspended animation. The trip takes a deadly turn when Jim and Aurora’s (Pratt and Lawrence) hibernation pods awaken them 90 years before anyone else. As Jim and Aurora look into the malfunction, they fall deeply in love while the ship starts falling apart and they have to try and save the other passengers.The movie's launch is set a few days before Christmas this December. It is interesting that the above mentioned Keanu was the original star of this movie.

In the photo department today, EW has released first two photos from sf movie PASSENGERS with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence set on a luxury interstellar spaceship with 5,000 passengers travelling to the Homestead II colony 120 years away. They are all travelling in suspended animation, but when Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence's characters are mistakenly awakened 90 years too early, they discover that the ship is malfunctioning, putting everyone in danger. The movie is out this December, so we should expect a trailer soon!

Meanwhile, in TV news, you can check out first photos from Jason Momoa's new historical series FRONTIER which will air in Canada on their Discovery Channel from November 6th and sometime later on at Netflix as well depicting the chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade in the late 18th century.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE TO VOYAGE WITH CHRIS PRATT?

One of those films that we keep reporting for years with different actors (from Keanu to Reese), is definitely sf movie PASSENGERS. Earlier last winter we reported that Chris Pratt could take the lead role and now Sony is moving on with the project giving him Jennifer Lawrence as the possible female lead. That would mean currently two of the most profitable stars leading the $150 million movie set on an interstellar journey that will take nearly a century to complete. Chris Pratt will play a man who wakes up just ten years into the voyage, and decides to awaken a female passenger (Jennifer Lawrence) so he doesn't die alone, but then they discover a malfunction on the ship that could put all of their lives at risk.

 New character posters have been revealed for Gothic horror movie CRIMSON PEAK showing the lead stars Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam and Jessica Chastain. The movie arrives into theatres in October just in time for Halloween with Mia Wasikowska playing  a young woman who, when her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger (Tom Hiddle Me Here, Hiddle Me There), is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. In the news from the superhero front, 'Deadline' reports that fresh daddy Ryan Reynolds might be getting a rather gorgeous female partner in the upcoming movie on DEADPOOL! Apparently, HOMELAND and FIREFLY star Morena Baccarin is the main choice for the female lead next to Ryan's DEADPOOL, a smart mouthed mercenary with the ability to heal quickly, making him nearly indestructible. We first saw him back in 2009. in Hugh Jackman's WOLVERINE. The movie is scheduled for February 2016 with Taylor Schilling and Rebecca Rittenhouse being other candidates for the female lead!

Another superhero, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY's StarLord Chris Pratt is the current frontrunner for the lead role in the unfortunate project PASSENGERS which has been delayed a number of times in recent years after it lost Keanu Reeves and Reese Witherspoon. 'Variety' reports that Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence (less likely due to her busy schedule) might take the lead roles now in the story of a man (Chris Pratt) who is one of over 5,000 passengers on a century long journey to a distant new planet. When the man's cryogenic sleep pod fails, with 90 years left to go on this trip, he faces the prospect of dying alone as the only person awake on this ship. He decides to wake up a female journalist (Jennifer Lawrence), as they both begin to realize they need to save everyone else on board.
