historical drama THE KEEPER which tells the extraordinary love story between a young English woman and a German PoW, who together overcome prejudice, public hostility and personal tragedy.

While visiting a PoW camp near Manchester at the end of the 2nd WW, Margaret Friar (Freya Mavor), the daughter of the manager of the local football team notices a young German soldier Bert Trautmann (David Kross). Her father is so taken by Bert's prowess as a goal-keeper that he gets him out of the camp to play for his local team - Margaret's and Bert's love blossoms despite local

hostility and resentment of the German PoWs. In the meantime Bert's heroics in goal are noticed by Man City. Rather than going back to Germany like nearly all the other camp inmates, Bert marries Margaret and signs for Man City. His signing causes outrage to thousands of Man City fans, many of them Jewish. But Margaret wins support from an unexpected direction: Rabbi Altmann, a Man City supporter who fled the Nazis, publishes an open letter opposing the campaign against Bert! Bert's path to acceptance begins and peaks at the 1956 FA Cup Final when he secures victory for Man City by playing on despite breaking his neck. Yet fate twists the knife for both

PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON FRENCH 18TH CENTURY ADVENTURE THE EMPEROR OF PARIS WITH VINCENT CASSEL AND OLGA KURYLENKO!

  'THE EMPEROR OF PARIS'
EPIC ADVENTURE WITH VINCENT CASSEL & OLGA KURYLENKO
Since Hollywood is currently mass murdering poor little turkeys and feasting on Thanksgiving, your trusted spy is doing what he knows you love best: going fully international, or, in this case, popping over to French capital Paris! Not

the modern one, though, but the smellier, dirtier 18th century one! Earlier this spring I was, as always of course, one of the first ones to inform you that the French are preparing a lavish new period set adventure, and now we have the first trailer and magnificent character posters for THE EMPEROR OF PARIS (L'Empereur de Paris) in which our favourite French star Vincent Cassel takes the lead role, alongside always lovely and stunningly charismatic Russian star Olga Kurylenko, in the story  of François Vidocq, the legend of the underground, the only man to

international cast. Directed by Jean Francois Richet, the historical thriller should storm French cinemas December 19th and will move across Europe throughout winter and spring.

WHAT'S THE FILM ABOUT?
Under the reign of Napoleon, François Vidocq,  the only man to have escaped from the biggest prisons of the country, is a legend of the Parisian underground. Left to die after his last spectacular escape, the ex-convict tries to be forgotten in the guise of a simple trader. His past caught him, however, and, after being accused of a murder he did not commit, he offered a deal to the chief of security: he joined the police to fight the underworld, in exchange for his freedom. Despite exceptional results, it provokes the hostility of his fellow police officers and the fury of the underworld who put a price on his head ... alive or dead.

 'DEAD IN A WEEK'
OR TOM WILKINSON WILL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK!
Edinburgh Film Festival will air the film this June
New posters for two delightful new movies! We still don't have a trailer for DEAD IN A WEEK: OR YOUR MONEY BACK, but here's a delightful poster for it featuring its two lead stars Tom Wilkinson and Aneurin Barnard.
The comedy, out October, sees Barnard playing a young man who, after his ninth unsuccessful attempt on his own life, outsources his suicide to an ageing assassin played by legendary Tom Wilkinson, because "If you're serious about ending it, you need professional help"! This crazy comedy from Tom Edmunds also stars Christopher Eccleston and Freya Mavor.

 'LADIES IN BLACK'
JULIA ORMOND & VINCENT PEREZ
The film is based on Madeleine St John novel
There is also a trailer and a poster for Australian comedy, and they do have the best of films, LADIES IN BLACK set in Sydney in the summer of 1959, against the backdrop of Australia's cultural awakening, breakdown of class structures, and liberation of women. Starring Rachael Taylor, Julia Ormond, Vincent Perez, Ryan Corr, it tells the coming of age story of suburban schoolgirl Lisa, who while waiting for her final high school exam results with dreams of going to the University of Sydney, takes a summer job at a large department store. Here she works side-by-side with a group of saleswomen who open her eyes to a world beyond her sheltered existence, and foster her metamorphosis.

slate. Produced by Poldark and Victoria's Mammoth Screen it will have a cast led by Andrew Buchan, Rupert Grint and John Malkovich who will play Hercule Poirot (the strangest and, if I may say, the most off-putting of choices)! Rupert Grint will be Inspector Crome, Andrew Buchan is Franklin Clarke, with Eamon Farren, Tara Fitzgerald, Bronwyn James and Freya Mavor also in the cast!
THE ABC MURDERS is set in the 1930s; a time when the nation is dangerously divided and suspicion and hatred are on the rise. In the midst of this Poirot faces a serial killer known only as A.B.C. First the killer strikes in Andover, then Bexhill. As the murder count rises, the only clue is the copy of

  IDRIS ELBA IS THE NEW
HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME
Idris Elba is the new Quasimodo!
Rival Netflix is meanwhile moving over to Notre Dame with no one else but Idris Elba. In the third or possibly fourth of the current projects on that topic, he will play the famous Hunchback! As 'Hollywood Reporter' reports Netflix' THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME adaptation of Victor Hugo's famous story will be a musical experience! Beside playing the famous guard of the church called Quasimodo who is secretly in love with a gorgeous gipsy girl Esmeralda, Idris Elba will also produce the movie and write original songs for it! It is not so strange as he really did play as a DJ in a number of music festivals around Europe. The Current War director Michael Mitnick is set to helm the new adaptation of the French classic.
