PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON REBA MCENTIRE AND MELISSA PETERMAN'S NEW NBC MULTICAM SITCOM HAPPY'S PLACE

   HAPPY PLACE SITCOM
WITH REBA MCENTIRE AND MELISSA PETERMAN
Happy's Place starts this month on NBC
The first new comedies to arrive this season are around the corner and over at NBC they will regal us this Autumn with HAPPY'S PLACE multicam sitcom in which Reba McEntire returns to the small screens together with Melissa Peterman. The comedy starts October 18th!

  WHAT'S THE STORY?
It will see Reba playing plays Bobbie who inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in her half-sister Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), she never knew she had. Isabella is an enthusiastic 20-something, who has studied psychology and loves to analyze people. She is thrilled to start working at the tavern and is full of “great” ideas about how to bring it to life. Peterman plays Gabby, a bartender who has worked at the tavern for quite some time. She is a bit needy and dramatic and would have loved to be Bobbie’s sister. The comedy will also star Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn. Check out the trailer for the new sitcom below and tell us what you think:

  1. Trailer isn't promising, but it's too short to judge whether it's going to be a good sitcom or not..the best bar sitcom is Cheers....

    1. I actually thought that this trailer was much better than the first one earlier this spring, it is very heartwarming and cute at the same time even though I do not think the Latina actress has any comedic talent nor screen charisma.

  2. After watching the tailer, it seems to me that this is not a film that I will like or that will interest me at all, I don't think I would waste my time on such films.

    1. Thanks for the info, it is not a film but a series, and very sad that you don't like heartwarming, positive, upbeat comedies that promote love, friendship, compromise and happiness.

  3. While I'm not big on comedies, I do like Reba.

  4. I'm trying to place this actress in another show or movie that I like but I'm blanking out. Something to add to my watch list. Thank you!

  5. It does look cute, but a little cheesy. I suppose most sitcoms are though. I can't wait to give this one a watch.

    1. Are you saying you do not like cheese? Da scandal! I need me Reba, because I started the second season of Frasier and it is very boring, I might even not finish it.

  6. I do love the cheese! It makes for easy mindless entertainment, which I am finding myself in need of more and more these days.

    1. I absolutely feel the lack of sitcoms in my life, we haven't had any in a long time, I only had Bob Heart Abashola and Frasier this year and none of them were overly great. I had to watch Spring Baking Championships and Canada's Chocolate Championships on YouTube all summer for some relaxing programmes.
