INTO THE LION'S MOUTH
MOVIE ADAPTATION IN WORKS
|
The book was a huge bestseller
|
He was the real man who inspired Flemming to write James Bond, but you do not know much about him. Now that is about to change as
Radar Pictures are turning
Larry Loftis' book
INTO THE LION'S MOUTH The True Story of Dusko Popov – World War II Spy, Patriot, and the Real-Life Inspiration for James Bond, into a movie to be directed by
Harald Zwart. The story focuses on a cunning and extremely daring man from Serbia called Dusko Popov, a double agent during World War II who was also a suave and sophisticated playboy while secretly spying for both the British and the Germans. In a daring twist, Dusko betrays the Germans and helps bring down the Nazi regime.
Very interesting story, I like it! I read a little about Dušan "Duško" Popov, an interesting character!
ReplyDeleteHe had such a rich life and yet most people don't know he inspired Flemmyng, probably because he was Serbian, but if he was English or French....
DeleteI might see if I can get hold of the book. Could be a "good read".
ReplyDeleteHe had a very exciting life, much more so than Bond. I read a lot about him but never a whole novel.
DeleteDon't know about him..wonder who will be in the cast..hope they get someone from Serbia.
ReplyDeleteThat would be lovely, but I seriously doubt it.
DeleteIt would be a shame if they did not cast a Serbian actor for this one. Popov was quite handsome in his youth so they, at the very least, better hire someone attractive for the role.
ReplyDeleteI would like our Aleksandar Radojicic to play him, he is gorgeous and charismatic.
DeleteYou missed your calling as a casting agent.
DeleteAbsolutely.
