Overfrom Sky come first images from their new six part series UNDER SALT MARSH set in the fictional Welsh town of Morfa Halen, a place caught between towering mountains and a fast-encroaching sea. As a
once-in-a-generation storm begins to gather far out at sea, former
detective turned teacher Jackie Ellis (Kelly Reilly) discovers the body of her
8-year-old pupil, Cefin, seemingly drowned. The discovery sends
shockwaves through the community, reviving the ghost of an unsolved cold
case that rocked the town three years prior – the disappear- ance of
Jackie’s niece, Nessa, which cost her career. Cefin’s death summons
Jackie’s former partner, Detective Eric Bull (Rafe Spall), back to Morfa Halen to
lead the investigation into a community he failed once before. Convinced
the cases are linked, Jackie and Bull must reconcile and race to
uncover long-buried secrets inside Morfa, before the storm breaks and
all the evidence is gone for good. Harry Lawtey, Jonathan Pryce, Mark Stanley, Julian Lewis Jones also star in the series coming up next year.
Netflix is planning to turn Harry Allard's popular children's book MISS NELSON IS MISSING into a TV series with Melissa McCarthy tapped as the double lead. The classic book series follows a misbehaving class whose teacher is mysteriously absent from school one day. But after a week with their strict substitute, Viola Swamp, the kids can’t wait for Miss Nelson to come back. According to Deadline, McCarthy will play both Nelson and Swamp in the film.
Channel 5 has chosen Joanna Scanlan and Rupert Graves to lead MISSED CALL TV series. The five-part thriller, set against the backdrop of a picturesque French village, follows British single mother Sarah whose daughter disappears while on a school exchange trip, soon after attempting a late-night call to her mom. Despite indifference from local authorities and the host family, Sarah goes on a search for her daughter that spirals into a dangerous race against time. Robert Lindsay, Claire Keim and Francois Xavier Demaison will also star.
And it truly is stellar: Simon West's World War II action adventure movie FORTITUDE has just cast Matthew Goode, Ed Skrein, Alice Eve, Jordi Molla, Ben Kingsley, Michael Sheen, Art Malik, Lukas Haas, Nicolas Cage. It is based on the true story of British Intelligence operatives using unprecedented strategic operations to fool Nazi leadership and help change the course of World War II through the brilliance of British Army officers Dudley Clarke and Thomas Argyll “Tar” Robertson, who deployed an elaborate web of deception campaigns, including fictitious armies, fake military equipment, and a network of double agents to mislead Nazi Intelligence. Among them was Yugoslavian playboy Dusko Popov, a real-life double agent, who inspired Ian Fleming’s James Bond character.
Prime Video has unveiled first trailer for their TV series adaptation of Harlan Coben's LAZARUS in which the story will revolve around
a man who returns home after his father's suicide and begins to have
disturbing experiences that can't be explained. He quickly becomes
entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the
mystery of his father's death and his sister's murder 25 years ago. Our
dearest Sam Claflin will lead as Laz, a well-respected forensic
psychologist who has spent his whole life running from the pain of his
past. It is only now when he returns home that he is forced to finally
face up to it.

Screen Australia has announced some new period set series that they will fund including FLORENCE a six episode series based on the true life story of the iconic and enigmatic designer Florence Broadhurst. It unpacks the life of a woman who irrevocably changed the style of Australia. When Florence was brutally murdered in her celebrated wallpaper studio at age 78, the shocking crime led to a mystery that remains unsolved today.
