THE GILDED AGE SERIES SEASON 4 

In their latest exclusive reel of what to expect in the second part of the year, HBO Max has unveiled, among others, first look at the fourth season of their popular costume drama THE GILDED AGE which arrives sometime this year and the trailer below shows Bertha dancing with her husband smiling which might mean the troubles in their marital paradise are over?  After Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) changed society at a cost, her family must reckon with the consequences while Agnes van Rhijn (Christine Baranski) seizes in the new season an opportunity to regain her position. Meanwhile, Marian (Louisa Jacobson) forges a new path for herself, and Peggy (Denée Benton) works to be accepted by her future in-laws. There will also be a whole line of new characters in the fourth season.

 

THE WAR SERIES WITH DOMINIC WEST

HBO has also shared glimpses at their new six part thriller TV series WAR with Dominic West as tech titan Morgan Henderson and Sienna Miller as his estranged wife in a series that follows two of London’s most prestigious rival firms, Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne, as they go head-to-head in the divorce case of the century. Each side is certain they’ll win. But as the case spirals and loyalties fracture, reputations are on the line, and everyone’s  playing to win. This is just the beginning as the series has been ordered for two seasons - season one’s explosive case is the first in an anthology of headline-making legal battles. Sky will air the series in UK. A trailer has been released for the directorial debut of Kristin Scott Thomas MY MOTHER'S WEDDING in which she also stars next to Sienna Miller, Emily Beecham, Scarlett Johansson and Freida PInto with Joshua McGuire, Mark Stanley, Thibault de Montalembert taking the male roles. 

 Out in cinemas August 8th, this heartfelt comedy movie follows the funny story of three sisters who return to their childhood home for a momentous weekend: the third wedding of their twice-widowed mother, Diana Frost (Scott Thomas). The three daughters are from very different walks of life: Georgina (Emily Beecham) is a hospice nurse; Victoria (Sienna Miller) is a Hollywood star; and Katherine (Scarlett Johansson) is a Captain in the Royal Navy. Over the weekend, the family gathers to celebrate the new marriage, but mother and daughters alike are forced to revisit the past and confront the future, all with help from a colorful group of unexpected wedding guests.

Based on a Sarah Perry's book, Apple TV's six part mini series ESSEX SERPENT will arrive May 13th. The story will see Claire Danes playing London widow Cora Seaborne as she moves to Essex to investigate reports of a mythical serpent. She forms an unlikely bond with the hot village vicar Will Ransome (Tom Hiddleston), but when tragedy strikes, locals accuse her of attracting the creature! The cast of the mini series also includes Frank Dillane, Hayley Squires, Clémence Poésy, Jamael Westman, Dixie Egerickx and Michael Jibson.

 

NEWLY WIDOWED CORA

(Claire Danes) arrives at the small village of Aldwinter in Essex, ready for a fresh start after her husband's death released her from an abusive marriage. She soon becomes intrigued by a local superstition about a mythical creature known as the Essex Serpent that has allegedly returned to the area.       ANATOMY OF A SCANDAL tells the story of a scandal among the British privileged elite following a high-flying Westminster politician whose marriage unravels when he is accused of rape. Two adventure trailers for you today, beginning with the second one for Steven Spielberg's BFG or BIG FRIENDLY GIANT which will stomp into theatres July 1st!

FRIENDLY GIANT  
The movie tells Roald Dahl's imaginative story of a young orphan girl and the Giant (Mark Rylance) who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. The BFG brings Sophie to Dream Country where he collects dreams and sends them to children, teaching her all about the magic and mystery of dreams. Having both been on their own in the world up until now, their affection for one another quickly grows, but Sophie's presence in Giant Country has attracted the unwanted attention of the other giants, who have become increasingly more bothersome. Sophie and the BFG soon depart for London to see the Queen (Penelope Wilton) and warn her of the precarious giant situation, but they must first convince the Queen and her maid, Mary (Rebecca Hall), that giants do indeed exist. Rafe Spall also stars! 

 'LOST CITY OF Z' TRAILER

The first quite meh trailer has also been, rather quietly, released for the adaptation of David Grann's book THE LOST CITY OF Z which describes real events, about British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) who made several attempts to find an ancient lost city in the Amazon and finally disappeared in 1925 along with his son in the search for the city. Beside Charlie Hunnam as Colonel Fawcett, the movie also stars Robert Pattinson as his fellow explorer Henry Costin and Sienna Miller as his wife Nina Fawcett! Angus MacFadyen and Tom Holland are also in the cast in the Brad Pitt produced movie which will probably hit cinemas some time in Autumn.
