  NICK JONAS STARS
as Renn, an emotionally distant writer who returns to his hometown of Cleveland for his beloved mother’s funeral, after having spent years successfully avoiding interactions with his high-strung sister (Brittany Snow), bumbling but well-meaning father (Matt Walsh), and untrustworthy step-father (David Arquette). While in town, he forges a new relationship with a charming, energetic stranger (Alexandra Shipp) who pushes him to realize that he can’t avoid conflict forever — with his family or within himself.

  1. Sounds interesting, but I don't really get the title..The Good Half..what's it to do with the message that everyone grieves differently?

    1. Probably not the good half as in your partner, but half of something else.

  2. I'll look forward to this. I cannot stand a new spouse who does not let the family have their heirlooms. We had to wait for my grandpa's new wife to pass before we were able to retrieve sentimental things, like his service flag from his firefighting service and my grandma's old ratty tin that she kept money in when she'd have a yard sale. Didn't have any value but the bitch refused to give it to the family after his passing and defiled it by carving Tom Loves Louise across the top (Louise was the new wife). Thankfully her kids weren't as vile as her and sent his belongings to us after she died.

    1. What a cunt, that is why one should never remarry if one has kids already.

    2. Indeed! But when you're in your 70's and your wife of 50 years passes, I think the thought of being lonely the remainder of your years messes with your rationale. I watched both my grandpa and uncle spiral after their longtime wives passed. It's really sad and probably why those old rich men tend to gravitate towards women half or more of their age.

    3. It just complicates things so much.
