   BREATHLESS TRAILER
FOR NEW NETFLIX MEDICAL SERIES
Imagine starting a medical workers strike without the minimum of work just when madam president ends up in your hospital? That is what happens
Breathless starts this August
in new Spanish series BREATHLESS (Respira) that will hit Netflix August 30th. Manu Rios leads the cast as Biel, a resident at a public hospital, who has spent years dedicating his life to becoming a doctor. A general strike protesting cuts to public health breaks out and Biel and residents consider supporting the strike, which could have fatal consequences. Joaquín Sorolla is much more than a public hospital in Valencia where lives are saved on a daily basis. Doctors and residents work hard in the frenetic pace of the emergency room, where tensions, emotions and even desire accelerate the hearts of a staff who live increasingly on the edge. The arrival of a distinguished patient highlights the complicated situation of the public health system, lighting the fuse for what is to become an unprecedented and drastic strike.

    1. I find the plot intriguing, the president ends up in their hospital just when they are deciding whether to go on full strike without even a minimal service. Medical system is breaking apart in so many countries, government does not care about the people who are literally falling apart from hard work and self-sacrifice, so maybe they have the right for such an extreme measure just to give the society a view of how important they are to us and how neglected.

    1. Oy, that is a lot of episodes to rewatch lol I watched only the first seasons back as a teenager, while my faves Anthony Edwards and Alex Kingston were still in it, and after that I quit. The last medical show I watched was FIVE DAYS AT THE MEMORIAL and that one was really great and also scary in the end.

  3. Like Angie, I have found that the US series are always so long and a bit boring. This one, however, intrigues me. Our system here needs a complete overhaul and all we get are false promises every election cycle on how it's going to get fixed.

    1. We need it too, especially after so many doctors and nurses died in covid hell.
