The latest epic novel series to be bought for a movie adaptation is RANGER'S APPRENTICE which includes The Ruins of Gorlan & The Burning Bridge

He becomes one of the skilled trackers, archers, and warriors in the
service of the King of Araluen. Will strives to keep the Kingdom of
Araluen safe from invaders, traitors, and other threats. He is joined on
his adventures by his mentor, Halt, and his best friend Horace. As
Deadline reports, beside the nineteen novels from this series, Skydance
has also optioned the rights to adapt Flanagan’s The Brotherband Chronicles book series which consists of nine volumes.
I don’t think this one is for me, but I’m sure if done right, could be a hit for fans of the genre.
