COWBOY BEBOP
READY TO CONQUER GALAXY
After a very long period of not really giving anything new of importance to their viewers, Netflix is ready to launch a couple of new and old epic shows
in the last two months of the year and among them is their new science fiction series COWBOY BEBOP for which they have just released a series of brand new character posters and a long official trailer after the confusing and cheap looking teasers released earlier this month. The ten episode series will star streaming November 19th based on the popular 90s anime show with John Cho playing the lead character Spike Spiegel. Mustafa Shakir is Jet Black and Daniella Pineda is Faye Valentine and there is also the space crew's little Corgi, Ein. The ten episode series was shot down in New Zealand with long delays due to Cho's injury at
the set. The cast will also include Alex Hassell as Vicious, and Elena Satine as Julia. Geoff Stults will play Jet Black’s former co-detective Chalmers and Tamara Tunie will be Ana, the owner of a Mars based convenience store and a particularly insightful informant. The director of the original series is now serving as a consultant with the original composer scoring the live action adaptation as well. Check out the trailer that Netflix has released for the new series below and tell us what you think. Andre Nemec serves as the executive producer and the showrunner.
Cowboy Bebop starts November 19th |
First season will have ten episodes |
COWBOY BEBOP CENTRES ON
a rag tag group of bounty hunters on the run from
their pasts, as they hunt down the most dangerous criminals in the solar
system. John Cho is Spike Spiegel, as an impossibly cool "cowboy," aka
bounty hunter. He rocks a deadly
smile and a wry wit, with style to
spare. Spike traverses the solar system with his ex-cop partner, Jet,
pursuing dangerous bounties, with his signature charm, charisma and
deadly Jeet Kune Do. Jet was one of very few honest cops in the solar
system before a devastating betrayal robbed him of
everything he loved.
Thus, he started a new life as a vagabond chasing down bounties to put
food on the table. Jet loves jazz and serves as Captain of the Bebop.
Daniella Pineda is Faye Valentine, a bold, brash and unpredictable
bounty hunter. She suffers from amnesia thanks to years of being cryogenically frozen. She does whatever is necessary to survive, be it
lying, stealing, or just being a thorn in the side of Spike and Jet.
Alex Hassell stars as Vicious, a man who enjoys a good kill, probably
too much. He's the Syndicate's most infamous hitman, in addition to
being Spike Spiegel's ex-partner and arch-enemy.
The series is based on a popular 90s anime show |
The shooting was delayed a few times due to Cho's injuries |
The dog looks cute...
ReplyDeleteIsn't he lovely?
DeleteShould I cue the Hanson song again?? Mmm bop.. hahaha
ReplyDeleteThey do have a corgi in the cast!
DeleteThis is one I'll be passing on, but the dog almost makes me want to tune in LOL
ReplyDeleteI will probably give it a go, but fantasy has been so disappointing recently, I'm watching FOUNDATION and it is the most boring thing I have ever seen.
DeleteI feel like a lot of stuff I've watched lately are boring AF. I've turned off so many movies half way through because life's too short to power through something you just aren't feeling.
DeleteI watched Blithe Spirit with Dan Stephens and Judi Dench on Sunday and slept last half hours and don't know how it ends LOL Could be the time switch, but I think it was just dozeworthy boring.
