INVASION SF TV SERIES
THE ALIENS HAVE ARRIVED!
This is one of those series that get their second season ordered even before the first one has even aired, at least that is the latest gossip I've
heard: Apple TV + has renewed INVASION sf series and the shooting should start in January over in United Kingdom and South Africa. The first season will, meanwhile, launch October 22nd as a character driven ten episode cataclysmic show from Simon Kinberg and David Weil, with three episodes streaming then and the rest airing weekly on Fridays. Sam Neill, Shamier Anderson, Golshifteh Farahani, Firas Nassar and Shioli Kutsuna star in the series that, set across multiple continents, follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world with events happening from rural America to metropolitan Japan!
First three episodes will stream October 22nd |
INVASION STARTS WITH
inexplicable and seemingly unrelated incidents that
begin happening around the world, ranging from power outages to the
destruction of infrastructure and homes!
But what was once thought of as being individual incidents very
quickly
are realized to be connected and being caused by something “not of our
Earth”.
Soon it will come to light that this encounter may not be some
characters’ only or first encounters with extraterrestrial life. The
question will be how characters can keep themselves and their loved ones
safe when faced with immediate threats, while the larger concern about
humanity surviving looms.
Invasion sf tv series will stream in ten episodes in the first season |
WHO IS UNDER THE INVASION?
Sam Neill is Sheriff John Bell Tyson, a rural American lawman on the verge of retirement.
Shamier Anderson is Trevante Ward, a homesick soldier stationed in Afghanistan.
Golshifteh Farahani is Aneesha Malik, a Syrian
immigrant mother who sacrificed her career to raise a family; Firas Nassar plays her husband.
Billy Barratt is a British schoolboy with a crush on his classmate.
Shioli Kutsuna is Mitsuki, a Japanese aerospace technician who is in a love affair with a fellow astronaut.
It is believed that the series cost $200 million to make which is shocking given that Apple has almost no marketing for it! |
Wow. It totally has my attention and will my hubby's. We don't have AppleTV though...
ReplyDeleteThat is the downfall of streaming TV, sadly, not everyone has all of the freakin' streamers.
DeleteIf I had Apple tv I'd watch it.

DeleteMy husband would enjoy this...we still have Apple TV until next year.
ReplyDeleteHopefully there will be nice new programmes so that you can renew it next year as well.
DeleteThis one actually looks really good. Too bad we cancelled our AppleTV subscription. Maybe we'll be able to torrent it later.
ReplyDeleteThat is what I will do!
DeleteThis is something my hubby would love but I would do everything to avoid.
