THE GRYPHON TO BECOME
AMAZON'S FANTASY TV SERIES
|
The Gryphon will be a six episode series
|
After the success Netflix had with Barbarians,
Amazon is looking to find their own German hit series, so they are adapting
Wolfgang's Hohlbein's popular novel
THE GRYPHON (Der Grif) into a six episode show with
Erol Yesilkaya and
Sebastian Marka as show runners. On their way to adulthood, the three outsiders Mark, Memo and Becky come into contact with a fantastic world called the Black Tower. There, the Griffin, a world devouring monster, has been mercilessly plundering and subjugating all living creatures for centuries. And the three friends, of all people, seem destined to end this reign of terror. As you probably remember, his
Hagen von Tronje historical novel has also been set for adaptation.

My husband, who is a fan of fantasy, would enjoy this!
ReplyDeleteI hope it will be fun, and glad April will be bringing us new shows after the corona production hiatus.
DeleteI imagine I'd be one to inherit disturbing abilities LOL
ReplyDeleteIf disturbing is ability to spit fire or something I wouldn't really mind :) Hope it is not turning into a rat or something equally horrid.
DeleteThese both sound pretty good, but the first one for the win. The still shot of the teaser with the woman holding an umbrella reminds me of a ridiculous fight I witnessed once. "Back up or I will shove this umbrella up your butt and then open it!" I'll have to circle back on my phone so I can listen to it with sound and find out if that's what she says!
ReplyDeleteMy umbrella won't usually open in the air when you neeed it, let alone stuck in someone's butt LOL
DeleteI'm laughing way too hard at that right now.. hahaha
DeleteYou're picturing it LOL
DeleteNice costumes ❤
ReplyDeleteRight.
DeleteThe Nevers sounds interesting. I am wondering why it was only women who were "touched." Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteBecause it is a feminist series.
