IS DISNEY DOING LIVE ACTION RAPUNZEL MOVIE? ENCHANTING NEW SECRET GARDEN TRAILER & POSTER WITH COLIN FIRTH AND JULIE WALTERS

IS RAPUNZEL DISNEY'S
NEW LIVE ACTION ADAPTATION?
Rapunzel will be getting live action version
In the massive slate of Disney's live action remakes of their animated classics, which usually end up being sadly miscast and unnecessary, here's one we'd be interested to see: the latest rumour has it that Tangled will be getting a live action version following the famous fairy tale of RAPUNZEL. Ashleigh Powell, who penned The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, is apparently writing a script for this one.
Rapunzel
follows the magically long haired princess who has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is.
In other live action remakes, Mulan is arriving this year and they've confirmed work on Aladdin sequel and also on Bambi live action movie and new Pinochio, with 101 Dalmatians being turned into a movie on Cruella De Vil's youth with Emma Stone. Little Mermaid has already caused the wrath of fans due to blackwashing the lead character.

  1. Really? Live action Aladdin II and bambi?? But, why?! I haven't seen a Disney remake that I enjoyed with the exception of Beauty and the Beast. That remake was fabulous.. Rapunzel is one that I'd look forward too. That would be a fun one to do a live action version of.

    1. I refused to watch Beauty and the Beast with that godawful wooden wench in the lead role. It was a travesty of casting, sadly. Tangled was, as I remember, quite fun in the animated version. I'm not watching Mulan either, it looks cheap compared to all the brilliant Asian films.

    2. What's wrong with Emma Watson?! I miss all the good celebrity juice apparently. She was definitely the weak link in the cast because of her singing, but everything else was fabulous. It was almost better than the original!

    3. Her being a terrible actress with no expression, no personality and no charisma is what's wrong :) And plus, how can someone who is not a beauty play a beauty? The same was with Lily James in Cinderella, absolute lack of beauty, depth and expressiveness. Disney always keeps casting wrong people for their leads.

    4. Got it. That wasn't as juicy as Paltrow's story though.. lol!

    1. Hope it is enchanting, even though I think the lead actress is miscast.

  3. The trailer looks so lovely for The Secret Garden. I have been waiting patiently for that one. I think it's one I have been looking forward to seeing most of all this year.

Rapunzel is in my top 5 of Disney animated films, so I want to get excited about the live version, but they have really been pushing their "woke" ideas in their current films, I just can't find the joy to hear that they are doing a live remake there. And Aladdin 2? WTF!? Can we say "cash grab"? So it will probably be pure shit. Allison has decided to boycott Mulan because they cut the songs and some of the characters she liked in the animated version. I've never seen it and didn't plan on watching the live version this year either.

    1. Mulan just looks cheap compared to Asian films of similar genre, and the lead just does not do anything for me, so not interested at all, I do like it, though, that she supported her government in China, totally opposite of the current woke culture LOL I did like Frozen II, though, thought it was better than the first one, except that I was annoyed by Anna, a deeply irritating character, Elsa really has a lot of patience with her.
