'ASUNDA' FANTASY SAGA
TO BECOME HBO'S EPIC TV SHOW
Sebastian Jones will also produce the series |
ASUNDA which is, as Deadline reports, inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s
Middle earth epics and Greek mythology, has its lead hero in Niobe
Ayutami, an orphan girl born of two nations, conceived through violence
and
raised in Oasis, a tiny desert town. Her father was a king in a
country modelled on England and Europe, while her mother was the
kidnapped female chief of a nomadic tribe of elves who roam a jungle
region that corresponds to West Africa. Hunted by all, Niobe will search
for her ancestors and the courage to bind them against an ancient
enemy. Her adventures and the chronicles of other people or nations of
Asunda have been covered in other titles from Stranger Comics, such as
Niobe, Dusu, Erathune, Essessa!
Asunda is depicted in other comics as well |
I'm not a fan of fantasy movies. However, I have a 'soft spot' for orphans and deserts, so I might give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid of deserts!
DeleteI hope she brings lots of ass kicking to the table. I think it's about time HBO stepped up their game. I almost forgot they were a network.
ReplyDeleteThey gave tons of shows just not the ones I'd be interested in, sadly. Their worldwide cable channels are much better as they air shows from other US networks and films too, very fresh ones, but the channel is paid separately from other cable bills.
DeleteThat actually sounds like it might be good. Let's see what the orphan can do!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the casting.
