'PHANTOM THREAD' TRAILER
DANIEL DAY LEWIS' LAST MOVIE
A trailer and poster to launch the new working week come from PHANTOM THREAD, Daniel Day Lewis' final movie (at least he says so) which
should walk into cinemas next February in UK, December in USA, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
Day Lewis announced his retirement earlier this year |
PHANTOM THREAD is set in 1950s postwar London and follows Woodcock
(Daniel Day Lewis), who with his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) is at
the centre of British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses,
socialites, débutantes and dames. Women come and go through Woodcock’s
life, providing the confirmed bachelor with inspiration and
companionship, until he comes across Alma (Vicky Krieps), who soon
becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover. Once controlled and
planned, he finds his carefully tailored life disrupted by love.
From just the description I wasn't sure- but the trailer did intrigue me. I like the idea of hiding secrets in the lining of clothes. ;)

could be a fun movie!
DeletePesky love always comes around and messes up the best laid plans. Does look like an interesting film.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind some pesky love :)
