  WW2 'DAS BOOT' SERIES
JAMES D'ARCY, TOM WLASCHIHA, VINCENT KARTHEISER CAST
James D'Arcy will be a part of the cast
Speaking of European epic series, a rather stellar cast has been rounded up for DAS BOOT from Bavaria Fernsehproduktion, Sky Deutschland and Sonar Entertainment! International cast will include Game of Thrones' Tom Wlaschiha, Mad Men's Vincent Kartheiser, James D’Arcy and Thierry Frémont alongside Lizzy Caplan! Inspired by the Oscar nominated film of the same name from Wolfgang Petersen, the eight part series has the story set on a submarine in autumn 1942, as U-boat warfare becomes increasingly brutal. While a very young crew put out to sea on a dangerous combat patrol, the Résistance rises in the U-boat port of La Rochelle. Sky will air the series in most of Europe.

  1. Jason will enjoy Das Boot, I am sure. I am not an overly huge fan of war movies, but he does enjoy the movies and documentaries.

  2. I absolutely LOVEED Wolfgang Petersen's movie Das Boot when it came out! I must have seen it six times, easy. So I'm thrilled that a mini-series is being made of it, and with such a stellar cast! And I love James D'Arcy too.

  3. Don't touch Das Boot. It'll be watered down and sink! (smile, Dezzzmeister) Wolfgang Petersen's movie is a piece of cinematic art. Just saying.
