1ST 'EMPEROR' CHARLES V EPIC MOVIE PHOTOS WITH ADRIEN BRODY, RUTGER HAUER, TOMAS KRETSCHMANN, OLIVER PLATT, PAZ VEGA! 'POLDARK' GETS 3RD SEASON WITH AIDAN TURNER

1ST 'EMPEROR' EPIC PHOTOS
ADRIEN BRODY IS CHARLES V!
Since your trusted spy is one of web's leading places for epic and historical projects, here's one, with a fresh poster, that I have to announce and it is currently in production: Lee Tamahori's 16th century epic movie EMPEROR, set for a next year release, will see Adrien Brody playing legendary Emperor Charles V, with Paz Vega as Queen Mary of Hungary, Oliver Platt as Pope Clement VII, Bill Skarsgard as Philip II of Spain, Eddie Marsan as Martin Luther, and with German superstar Thomas Kretschmann and movie legend Rutger Hauer also in the stellar cast!

LEE TAMAHORI'S EMPEROR
is an action epic about a young girl who seeks revenge on the holy Roman Emperor Charles V for the death of her father by infiltrating his royal court. It happens in a world of wealth, debauchery, violent retaliations, sex, manipulation and treason in which Charles V is trying to hold together a fragmented empire... it's the 16th century revisited!

DEZZY'S HISTORY LESSON
Charles V was a Duke of Burgundy and Holy Roman Emperor who ruled a massive Empire in which the sun never set including the Spanish Empire, Holy Roman Empire, Habsburg Netherlands and extensive territories in western, central, and southern Europe, and the Spanish colonies in the Americas and Asia where he sanctioned the conquest by Castillian conquistadors of the Aztec and Inca empires. Although the four decades of his rule were marked by many wars (mostly against France, German princes and the Ottoman Sultan) in the end he abdicated in order to live and then die in a monastery instead on a battle field.

BBC'S 'POLDARK' GETS
 3RD SEASON WITH AIDAN TURNER
Meanwhile, while we're waiting for BBC to air, beginning of September in UK and end of it in USA, the 2nd season of popular period set series POLDARK, it has been announced that the 3rd has been ordered too! The 2nd season, starring Aidan Turner will be set in year 1794: Ross Poldark must traverse new family, new loves and new battles, as the French revolution casts a shadow over life in Cornwall. Eleanor Tomlinson returns as his wife Demelza!

  1. The posters look great. I do think Adrien Brody has the worst nose in the history of noses. That thing really steals the spotlight every chance it can get!

    1. Although his face isn't symmetrical and he's not classically handsome, there is something attractive about him I think.

    2. yes, he has the ugliest of noses evah, but he sure is attractive with those big puppy eyes and that gorgeous body of his. I've always wondered what kind of person he is privately. I've seen him once when I broke into the sets of one of his films, and I can tell you he is smaller that one might expect.

    3. It must be the eyes and the hair. He's been blessed with a nice head of hair. Maybe he's like Arnold Schwarzenegger size wise. You would think Arnold tall since they make him look so big in film, but he came to our town once and my uncle was hired as part of his body guard team for the day and said he was really small!

    4. He told my uncle it's a Hollywood camera trick. They lower the camera and point it upward toward his face so it makes the audience feel like they are looking up at him. The trickery of the movie business ;)

    5. but he generally seems tall because he's all so muscular! What's next? Discovering that Rock and Diesel are small as forest elves?

  3. Emperor should be a good one. Thanks for the history lesson dahlink. He certainly did mess up the Aztec's and the Inca's.

Another season of Poldark! I loved the season you sent to me and I know you is glad there is to be this third one.

Netflix just put of The Shannara Chronicles. I've watched the first four episodes and I love it!

    1. Yes, he was a very feisty ruler, lead wars for four decades of his rule, was one of them idiots that dream of ruling the world, under his rule, he pretty much had something close to today's EU, ruling Italy, Spain, Mediterranean, Hungary, Austria and parts of Balkans. God only knows how many people died so that pricks like him with small dicks could feel bigger... He can kindly sod off to hell, if you ask me :)

I'm happy about Poldark, especially since it starts first week of September and I none of my usual shows return in Autumn, so at least I will have Aidan to watch comes the Autumn.

You did? Oh, deary, I hated it :) Too teensy for me, and the actress that plays the princess annoyed the coon's tail out of me with her constantly open mouth like she's stupid or something.... I did lurv Johnzie Rhys Meyers and the two princes ... but that is about it.

    2. Ya, I do love it, even though it's cheesy. I read the books when I was just a teenager. It reminds me of so many happy hours with my nose in a book. Also, the demons are really cool looking.

Dahlink, I completely forgot I posted today. I came in from the yard at about 10:00 p.m. thinking, "There's something I'm supposed to do. But what is it?" Then I came to visit you and I remembered.

    3. Hope you will like the second season too, I'm still deliberating whether I'll watch it or not, most probably not. It is lovely, though, that we got tweets from some of the cast members back when it was airing :)

He he.... that is what happens when you post once a season :)

  4. Ooo lots to look forward to Emperor looks and sounds great and looking forward to more Poldark!

  5. The poster! Yes Adrien's nose is unfortunate but you know what? He made his fortune anyway and that nose is on better standing than many more handsome noses. It's probably disgraceful that I am yet to watch Poldark.

    1. you will most probably like POLDARK, it was lovely because they did it the old way, the style of the famous BBC and Granada classics! And Aidan is ever so charismatic and swoonworthy

  6. Eddie Marsan, that gloomy looking little bugger, will make a great Martin Luther!
