Netflix has released a trailer for their new eight episode TV series based on Jennifer Iacopelli's book FINDING HER EDGE. Out January 22nd, the series follows three Russo sisters, heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty. As middle sister, seventeen year old Adriana (Madelyn Keys) trains for the World Championships with new partner Brayden (Cale Ambrozic), while still harbouring feelings for her first love and former partner, Freddie (Olly Atkins). Her life becomes complicated when she and Brayden pretend to be a couple off the ice to land a sponsorship that will keep the financially struggling Russo rink afloat.

Among the slate of new series announced for this year at Netflix is also seven episode series THE UNDERTOW with Jamie Dornan, Mackenzie Davis and Iain de Caestecker. Produced back in spring 2024 down in Australia is historical adventure THE BLUFF which directed by Frank E. Flowers for Prime Video is finally ready to stream around the world February 25th and we have the first images to prove it. It is interesting that originally Zoe Saldana was supposed to lead the film, before Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban were cast.Temuera Morrison, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Vedanten Naidoo also star.

 

SET IN THE 19TH CENTURY

Caribbeans, the story follows a former female pirate (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) who must protect her family when the mysterious sins of her past catch up to her. The intention of the movie is to blend visceral action and historical fiction to create a real action vehicle as the heroine fights against the atrocities committed by the pirates. Priyanka plays Ercell Bodden, a former pirate called "Bloody Mary," who left her crew and fled to a "peaceful" island in the Caymans. Now a mother and wife, Ercell is forced to use the violent skills she possessed in her past life to protect her home from lawless pirates, led by Karl Urban as Captain Connor.

More than a year ago I told you that Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer will star in a new movie take on famous Sherwood legend THE DEATH OF ROBIN HOOD from director Michael Sarnoski and earlier in December I showed you the first photos from it but now we also have the first trailer which you can watch below. The film will see the title character grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, a battleworn loner who finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of  mysterious woman who offers him a chance at salvation. Also starring Bill Skargard as Little John, the film will arrive sometime this year.

After the first film earned almost double than its budget back in 2020 we are getting GREENLAND 2: MIGRATION sequel which is set to storm into cinemas this Friday, January 9th as the first blockbuster of the new year with Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin returning to the lead roles, and today you can see below the final super exciting trailer. 

 

  AFTER THE FIRST FILM 

in which the world was rocked by a comet saw our heroes hide in a bunker and then come out of it after nine months as the survivors of the apocalypse, in the sequel the survived Garrity family emerges outside after five years and must leave the safety of the Greenland bunker and embark on a perilous journey across the decimated wasteland of Europe to find a new home. While the first film was made for around 35 million, the sequel had a budget of almost 90 million. The production team has said that they have ideas for a third part as well. Well, it will be the first of its kind: CBS has ordered a pilot for first ever period set multicamera sitcom REGENCY from Tara Fernandez (Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon). A historical spin on the classic multi-cam family sitcom, it will be centered around the upper-middle class Tillbrooks as they navigate life, love, and scandal in 19th Century England. The comedy will be in consideration for the 2026/2027 TV season. Regency period lasted from 1811 till 1820.
