REGENCY
COMEDY PILOT ORDERED AT CBS
Well, it will be the first of its kind: CBS has ordered a pilot for first ever period set multicamera sitcom REGENCY from Tara Fernandez (Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon). A historical spin on the classic multi-cam family
sitcom, it will be centered around the upper-middle class Tillbrooks as they navigate life, love, and scandal in 19th Century England. The comedy will be in consideration for the 2026/2027 TV season. Regency period lasted from 1811 till 1820.

Un ritratto intenso del potere esercitato nell’ombra, dove ambizione, fragilità e silenzi contano più degli atti ufficiali.

DeleteNot my kind of show but I'm hoping there will be something on that I'll like, lol
ReplyDeleteThe whole year does not look promising at all, there is nothing remotely interesting announced so far, especially not in the first four months of the year.
DeleteThis sounds like a very weird experiment and doom to failure
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily, Bridgerton has made the era popular again and Ghosts were also popular and they had historical elements within comedy. Depends on the casting.
DeleteWho knows. Yes Bridgerton has made Regency popular, but it is not comedy, and Ghosts was not historical and it had great scriptwriters.
DeleteI know, but Ghost did have historical characters. And the writer of Regency did write for Sheldon and Big Bang, which I did not like, but they were highly watched.
DeleteUy hay que ver. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteGracias.
DeleteI am surprised that CBS is doing this. I would have thought PBS would do it.
ReplyDeleteYes, but this is probably because of the writer's background, she already worked with them.
DeleteI'll have forgot all about this by the 2026/27 season. Then I'll feel like we've been hearing about it for years once you bring it up again and it rings the bell in my brain that we have indeed heard of it before.
ReplyDeleteIt sometimes takes a lot of time for these things...
