MGM Studios has released first trailer for their big screen adaptation of popular MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE which will hit cinemas June 5th starring Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson and Charlotte Riley alongside Jared Leto and Idris Elba. After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Galitzine) back to Eternia, where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe. I agree with you on Leto being a hum drum actor. I think women my age are just stuck on the hotness of his bad boy Jordan Catalano character from the 90's and how we all crushed on hi back then. Though he might be perfect for Skeletor as he looks like a washed up druggie as he's aged. Way too thin and gangly looking. I will watch this because He-Man was Jason's jam back in the 80's. It will be fun for nostalgia sake.
Jason had the castle and all of the action figures. He was a spoiled little shit. I had the She-ra castle and her action figures, so I guess I was also LOL. I wonder if she'll make an appearance in He-Man? Would be smart to introduce her as live action there so they can monetize a spinoff with her as lead later.

I'd watch this just because of Jarden Leto. I just watched Tron: Ares and loved it. He's great.
