little kid from JURASSIC PARK. He is now a grown up man and he will take the role of Mouse, a teen hunk who is apparently a big charmer and should attract teen girls to see the film. As you remember, the film already has Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum and Adrianne Palicki. The new issue of "Entertainment Weekly" features the first look on Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, the male leads in THE HUNGER GAMES. Now, this is a piece of news which makes me personally happy: "Variety" reports that director P.J. Hogan and Toni Collette
will work again after their collaboration in beloved classic MURIEL'S WEDDING. In Hogan's new film MENTAL, Collette will play a crazy hotheaded hitchhiker brought on to nanny five girls by their father, a philandering politician, after he hospitalizes his wife for a nervous breakdown. The cast also includes Liev Schreiber and Anthony LaPaglia! Over at Comic Con Legendary pictures has revealed concept art for their PARADISE LOST in which Lucifer and Michael, God's greatest archangels, share the bond of extraordinary friendship until God produces his greatest creation: Man. Unable to remain subservient to God if it means bowing down to humanity, Lucifer

The story which HOLLYWOOD SPY wrote about more than a year ago has been confirmed at the Comic Con according to "MovieWeb": Robert Rodriguez will make a live action film out of late
fantasy artist Frank Frazetta's FIRE AND ICE saga. The story starts when a tiny village gets destroyed by a surging glacier, which serves as the deadly domain for the evil Ice Lord, Nekron. The only survivor is a young warrior, Larn, who vows to avenge this act of destruction. The evil continues, however, as Nekron's palace of ice heads straight towards Fire Keep, the great fortress ruled by the good King Jarol. Shot last winter in Belgrade, Serbia, the film has John Cusack as the famous poet Edgar Allan Poe who uses the help of a young detective, played by amazing Luke Evans, in order to catch a serial killer who is using Poe’s own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders. At some point his fiancee, played by Alice Eve, gets kidnapped by the killer. The film is directed by James McTeigue (V FOR VENDETTA).

ABC has recently released a new trailer for ONCE UPON A TIME which could quite possibly become the biggest television hit among the new projects when it premieres this Fall. The show follows Anna Swan
(Jennifer Morrison) a 28-year old bail bonds collector who's been on her own ever since she was abandoned as a baby. But when the son she gave up years ago finds her, everything will change. Henry (Jared Gilmore) is 10 years old now and in desperate need of Anna's help. Henry believes that Anna actually comes from an alternate world... and is Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and Snow White's (Ginnifer Goodwin) missing daughter. According to his book of fairytales, they sent her away to protect her from the Evil Queen's (Lana Parilla) curse, which trapped the fairytale world forever, frozen in time. Of course Anna doesn't believe a word, but when she brings Henry back to Storybrooke, she finds herself drawn to this unusual
boy and his strange New England town. Concerned for Henry, she decides to stay for a while, but she soon suspects that Storybrooke is more than it seems. Probably inspired by the enormous success of Starz TV show, GK Films is going to make a SPARTACUS live action epic movie. Michael Gordon, who penned famous 300, will write a script which will be based on real historical facts and will follow SPARTACUSas the leader of 70,000 warriors and 50,000 freed slaves as they fought against the Roman empire between 73 and 71 B.C. Of course if they get the financing and move on with this epic project, we shall probably enjoy following the casting process and the search for the male star who will take this lucrative epic role.

The story centers around a Russian soldier and his wife who get caught in the middle of a war between his country and a former Russian leader. The comic book has sold millions of copies around the world so far. According to "Variety" the writers of G.I.JOE will help Disney write the script for GARGOYLES, a film which will follow the famous scary dragon faced roof statues which come to life in order to defend their city. Disney wants to make this a multi platform project with TV shows and different merchandise goods as well.

After the success of the first season and the avalanche of Emmy nominations GAME OF THRONES continues with the fresh
casting for the second season, and the latest casting additions are lovely Carice van Houten and Stephen Dillane. Dillane will play Stannis Baratheon, brother of the late King Robert, who is vying for the throne. Carice will on the other hand, play Melisandre, a powerful sorceress who advises him in his quest for power. She is described as a powerful woman and a seductive force possessing prophetic powers who is willing to impose her religion on the world by any means necessary. We've previously seen this Dutch beauty in VALKYRIE and in REPO MEN. And Irish star Liam Cunningham will play Davos, a resourceful man who helps Stannis seize the Iron Throne from King Joffrey.
Joe Johnston who is about to premiere his CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, and is also planning JURASSIC PARK 4 (in a
form of a reboot), has recently revealed to "Screen Rant" that he also wants to make a sf film about famous BOBA FETT, the character from STAR WARS. Back in the past he worked with George Lucas ( as the visual effects art director) who was his mentor and now he wants to make a feature film on the character he helped being designed. As you remember Boba Fett was a bounty hunter hired by Darth Vader to find the Millennium Falcon. Dangerous and mysterious, the character has created a cult following among the STAR WAR fans. ________________________________________________ Vin Diesel has released a new piece of concept art for RIDDICK the sequel to his popular sf saga. It still isn't quite certain if Vin and director David Twohy will find money for the whole project.
The producers of TRANSFORMERS and REAL STEEL are planning the film adaptation of Cartoon Network's CAPTAIN PLANET. The character is known as the first eco-super hero, created back in the 90's in a show about a group of young people (The Planeteers) who combine their special powers to summon Captain Planet, an environmental superhero, to battle the world's worst eco-villains. trailer for THE THING, the direct prequel to John Carpenter's classic from the 70's, which premieres this October set at an Antarctica research site that's invaded by an "alien life form". The discovery of an alien craft brings in graduate student Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) who partners with Sam Carter (Joel Edgerton), a helicopter pilot, to hunt down this alien. It's interesting that Universal Studios Florida will open a maze inspired by the film in the form of an abandoned scientific research facility in the midst of a vast and frozen Antarctica in which guests will get an unprecedented first-hand preview of the much-anticipated thriller.
