New series starts tomorrow on Rossiya 1 |
After many different versions of series on his grandmother, legendary Catherine the Great, we are finally getting a series on
ALEXANDER THE FIRST,
the emperor of whole Russia and last year I gave you first images
from this sprawling historical saga which director
Artyom Nasybulin was shooting
over in St. Petersburg, but now I can tell you that as a part of Easter festive celebrations, Russian national broadcaster
Russia 1 is ready to start airing the drama from tomorrow evening,
April 21st. The show will also be available for streaming on Russian
streamer
Smotrim and you can check out the trailer
 |
The series will also stream on Smotrim |
for the new series below the post! The title role is played by insanely gorgeous
Evgeny Romantsov, whom we remember from
Goalkeeper of Galaxy sf movie, and he will be accompanied by
Anna Banshchikova, Gleb Bochkov, Polina
Gukhman, Philip Ershov, Anastasia Krylova, Fyodor Lavrov, Angelina
Poplavskaya, Anna Snatkina, Daniil Spivakovsky, Artyom Tkachenko,
Vladislav Tsenev, Anna Chipovskaya and Yuri
Chursin. I have heard that more than 4,000 costumes were used in the
series. During the massive production of this high profile series the
actors had to learn how to ride, use weapons and play the violin.

AFTER BEING RAISED
by his babushka, Empress
Catherine II, who saw in
her eldest grandson the direct heir to the throne, and the European
teacher
La Harpe, Alexander

adheres to liberal views and admires the
first years of
Napoleon's reign: he dreams that Russia will someday have
a republic. After the death of Catherine,

during the reign of Paul,
Alexander continued to hope for reforms. However, he is soon overcome by
disappointment in Paul both as a father and as a

statesman. As a result
of the conspiracy,
Emperor Paul the First dies, and Alexander, haunted
by guilt for the death of his father, is forced to ascend the

throne to
confront the new intrigues of the aristocrats and his overbearing
mother. At the same time, Alexander understands that a threat looms over

Russia: war with the invincible Napoleon is inevitable, it’s only a
matter of time. Watch the trailer below and tell us what you think, would you watch?
Buona Pasqua!

DeleteGracias por la reseña. Me encantaría verla. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous costumes!
Delete"Ritratto solenne e introspettivo di un sovrano diviso tra fede, potere e ideali."
ReplyDeleteVery poetical, right?
DeleteReally love some of the costumes!
ReplyDeletep.s This Saturday I bought a carton of 10 eggs for 4.1 euro...the usual price for cheapest eggs are 1.99 euro.
Why did you buy the most expensive ones? But have in mind that most people here earn 500 euro a month.
DeleteWe won't get this here, so I'll say I hope you had a nice Easter. Jason's still in Florida until this Friday, but Allison and I did dinner at his parents house. Everything felt a little off with the family this year. We have a divorce in progress, 2 people that just had surgeries, one bad 3 year old who has a worthless dad that taught him the F word.. came home, called Jason, told him I am so ready to move at this point.
ReplyDeletelol which family is not disfunctional... everything seems to be falling apart these days. You defo need Jason and your little mutual family haven. I spent Easter working as always, as I was finishing the latest book, should start a new one tomorrow.
DeleteWell I'm glad to hear that work hasn't dried up for you. Our market opens in 2 weeks and our storefront in 5 weeks. I am losing my mind these days, but I guess that's a good problem to have.
DeleteThere is work, but not much pay. When all these prices started going up two years ago I decided to return to my original publisher, who pays less, but gives me books regularly. So I earn less, but at least money comes regularly, without it I'd go hungry in this crises.
DeleteWhich storefront, the one in the mall, that you mentioned before? You will have both a market stall and a shop in the mall?
Sometimes it's just better to go with less pay but consistent work. It's nerve wrecking not knowing exactly how much you'll be making from week to week otherwise.
DeleteYes, we'll have the market stall and the shop, then on some weekends Jason will still do the bigger festivals and such. It's a lot of work, but I'm optimistic it will be worth it by the end of the year, if I don't lose my damn mind before then.
It is at least some kind of security.
DeleteWho will work at the stall and in the shop? Who will produce that amount of goods?
Jason will run the store with Allison filling in as needed. I'll probably do Tues and Wednesday there though. We think we'll be hiring one of the market vendors to run our booth there. Shes retired and doesn't want to sell her stuff anymore, but mentioned that she'd be thrilled to run our booth for us once she closes hers, probably starting in July. I'll still be making most of our inventory. We do carry a few things we buy wholesale, but I'll have Allison's towels, Jackie's candles, a stained glass artist, and another vendor is putting her glassware in our store (not the market since that's a lot smaller than our retail space). We probably won't have a full store until late autumn, but it doesn't pick up until then anyway, so it'll be fine for us to start slow there.
DeleteSounds like you planned it all well, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.
DeleteThank you, deary ♥
