JACK LOWDEN TO PLAY
MR. DARCY IN PRIDE AND PREJUDICE?
Earlier today we had a trailer for his new western movie Tornado and now rumour around the town is that our dearest Jack Lowden is in negotiations to
play Mr. Darcy in new TV series adaptation of Jane Austen's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE over at Netflix. Dolly Alderton has already written the scripts for the 19th
century novel adaptation that tells the story of Elizabeth Bennet and
Fitzwilliam Darcy, who eventually fall in love but have to navigate
various obstacles as Elizabeth’s father seeks a male heir. That is third Austen project recently beside The Other Bennet Sister series from BBC and recently aired Miss Austen series with Keeley Hawes also at BBC and PBS.

DeleteI've never watched or read anything related to P&P, but I see a lot of P&P related books on some blogs. I'm sure those who read that genre will like this.

DeleteI don't know if I see him as Mr. Darcy. Maybe it's the beard here that's throwing me off. I won't watch it either way as the book bored me to tears, but I'm sure Austen fans will be thrilled with this new project.
ReplyDeleteThey cast two of the worst cast choices for female leads, so I will not be following this story any longer. They picked the female lead right out of my nightmares.
