THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY MOVIE DRAMA
PENELOPE WILTON JOINS JIM BROADBENT IN THE CAST
Earlier this year I told you that Jim Broadbent will lead heartwarming drama THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY and now Penelope Wilton has joined him as Maureen, the wife who is left bereft and bewildered when Harold doesn’t come home one day. Broadbent plays Harold, an ordinary man who has passed through life living on the sidelines until he
goes to post a letter one day…and just keeps walking. He embarks on a 450-mile walk across the UK in the simple belief that his journey will save the life of his old friend Queenie who is dying in a hospice. Step by step, a spark is ignited in Harold’s hibernating soul as he rediscovers the majesty of the world, reflects on his mistakes, and finally gains the strength to face the unspoken grief that has driven him and his wife apart.
The movie will start shooting sometime later this Autumn |

THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY sounds really interesting. Definitely on my watch list!
ReplyDeleteI'd watch anything with Broadbent!
DeleteDon't know who he is, but damn, Liam! ๐
ReplyDeleteYou do not know what you have missed not watching Spartacus epic series! It was filled with fully nekkid gladiators in each and every episode and "Jupiter's Cock" was their fave curse lol Jai Courtney came from that series. They had the most delightful gay couple of gladiators too Agron and Nasir, their love was stuff of legends.
DeleteOh no, babe. You're right though, haven't see it (yet). But... I have it waiting for me to watch it since last year, I think. ๐
DeleteThere's just too much good content still coming out but, whenever I get the time, I might go and finally check it out. And by that, I mean, at least skim through it if I don't like the storyline or find it uninteresting. ๐
I did have a hunch it was kinda watchable, like you described, & had a feeling it has quite a few solid scenes. ๐
Solid scenes and solid something else too LOL All the gladiators went free willy in it! Or maybe Moby Dick given the sizes... if you get what I mean...
DeleteSo I've heard. ๐ I'm patient & the show isn't goin' anywhere so, I might binge-watch it sometime in the future. Thanks for reminding me, though! ๐
DeleteBe welcome!
DeleteThis Little Love of Mine sounds like one of those cheesy Lifetime movies. We love those!
ReplyDeleteThey are so relaxing!
DeleteKind of reminds me of the old vet who walked laps in his garden to raise money for covid. Shows that even an act as simple as walking has a butterfly effect.
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard of him, but I did hear about some disabled kids who did the same.
DeleteReally? BBC had lots of stories on him last year. I believe he recently passed away though, but he raised millions before his passing https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2020/04/30/tom-moore-army-vet-who-raised-millions-nhs-turns-100/3054591001/
DeleteOh, you mean the Brit grandpa who got knighted later on, I thought you was talking about some of your people in USA lol
