SENDS DOMINIC COOPER AND DOUGLAS BOOTH TO WILD WEST
It seems that beside Django, we will be getting another new Wild West TV series as THAT DIRTY BLACK BAG has cast Dominic Cooper and Douglas Booth as leads in the Bron Studios and Palomar's eight part series currently shooting in Italy, Spain and Morocco. It depicts the 8-day clash between Arthur McCoy (Cooper), an incorruptible sheriff with a troubled past,
Dominic Cooper and Douglas Booth will lead the show
and Red Bill (Booth), an infamous, solitary bounty hunter known for decapitating his victims and stuffing their heads into a dirty black bag, because, as he puts it, “Heads weigh less than bodies.” The drama echoes and pays homage to the classic spaghetti western, capturing the genre’s legendary irony while revolutionizing it in a modern way and appealing to younger audiences. The series tells of bounty hunters, bandits and bloody vendettas,
Travis Fimmel, Christian Cooke, Aidan Gillen will also star
lonely souls driven by such great passions as faith, love and revenge. In the world of That Dirty Black Bag, there are no heroes, nobody is invincible, and predators become the prey. Rather stellar cast also includes Travis Fimmel, Aidan Gillen, Rose Williams, Ivan Shaw and our dear Christian Cooke!

The Italian westerns, deary, from the 70s and 80s. Sergio Leone made them a lot and you probably remember the ones with Bud Spencer? It is interesting that at some point the Turks also made a lot of cowboy films, go figure...

ReplyDeleteAin't that the truth?
DeleteIf "one" doesn't know any of those names, does that mean "one" is old?
ReplyDeleteOld as Methuselah and Cher indeed.
DeleteDang, I love a good Alien invasion movie or show. I wish I had Apple tv now.
ReplyDeleteI still fondly remember that classic Visitors show.
DeleteI think you have a typo in your bold white title. It says THAT DIRTY BLACK BACK, should it be BAG? Definitely some yummy eye candy in it either way :)
ReplyDeleteCorrected it :) The cast is certainly hot, although I cannot imagine Douglas as a villainous bandit!
DeleteIDK, it's those overly pretty boys that tend to have a bad boy streak in them. I can see it LOL.
DeleteThey can be full of themselves, true.
DeleteWhat is classic spaghetti western? O my.. Sam Neill is already that old??

ReplyDeleteSuit yourself, but ya won't be ready when da aliens come, boy :)
DeleteI'm not a huge fan of westerns or that actor. Every time I see Dominic Cooper, I think of Abraham Lincoln fighting vampires!
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong about fighting vampires? LOL
DeleteI think I need a bigger imagination.. lol.
DeleteWe do ever so love killing them vampires!
