MAGPIE MURDERS TV SERIES
TIMOTHY SPALL CAST AS LEAD
We're having a Spall family day at the spy's today: BritBox has just cast Timothy Spall as the lead, next to Lesley Manville, in their upcoming adaptation
of Anthony Horowitz’s acclaimed and best selling crime novel MAGPIE MURDERS which begins production next week.
In the series, a beguiling murder mystery with a solution that will both astonish and grip viewers, Spall will star as the clever and complex 1950s detective Atticus Pünd in the fictional novels by best selling mystery writer Alan Conway. The plot of Magpie Murders revolves around the character Susan Ryeland (Manville), an editor who is given an unfinished Conway manuscript and has little idea it will change her life. The series will air on Masterpiece PBS in USA next year. Stay tuned for additional casting updates.

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day
PBS always have all the best period set programmes.
DeleteWill MAGPIE MURDERS also on Netflix?
ReplyDeleteNo, it will air on Britbox in Europe, that is a British streaming service for BBC and ITV's programmes, this will be their first original series, previously they just aired BBC and ITV shows.
DeleteWatched Rafe Spall recently in The Big Short, actually. He was good in that. 👌🏻🙂
ReplyDeleteHe is always so lovely and charming in a cute goofy way.
DeleteIf you're jumping ahead a year every few minutes, I imagine you'd be dead fairly quickly. I suppose you better find that love in a jiffy before you expire.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he is always jumping into the same, next year? I do ever so hate me jumping, makes my walrus body wobble too much.
DeleteI hate jumping because I’m lazy :D
DeleteJumping ain't for us for sure.
DeleteLong Story Short is playing in Australian cinemas now....
ReplyDeleteOooooh, thank you for da info, I will look up the trailer and poster if they have any.
DeleteHave you ever read the book? It sounds a little confusing to me, but I haven't read a crime thriller since the Michael Connelly novel about 6 months ago.
ReplyDeleteI don't do crime, so no, I haven't.
