'SNOWPIERCER'
TO START ITS JOURNEY EARLIER!
Eventhough most films and series are getting postponed, TNT has decided to move the premiere of new sf series SNOWPIERCER from May
31st to May 17th! Jennifer Connelly leads the cast of the 20 episode adaptation of the legendary sf movie in which the story is set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland! The action revolves around the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival are questioned in this riveting television adaptation. The story has already been told in the Chris Evans movie which was based on the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, later retitled Snowpiercer, written by Jacques Lob and illustrated by Jean-Marc Rochette.
SnowPiercer will now start May 17th, Sunday |
I've tried to watch the movie version a couple of times, but just cannot get into it, Chris Evans or no Chris Evans.
ReplyDeleteI loved everything in the movie except the very ending.
DeleteInteresting..I wonder if that means that they were ready to release all along. Jennifer Connelly always reminds me of my mother before she got sick. They are strikingly similar in appearance.
ReplyDeleteThe airing was postponed for years, so, yes, the series was ready long time ago :)
DeleteI havent seen the Chris Evans Film but it makes me want to watch both to compare the difference.
ReplyDeleteIt was one of those movies that will stay with you forever, and it had a really strong cast unlike this series version which seems to have a weak cast.
DeleteI've watched the movie and, I don't remember hearing about the TV show... That's pretty cool. Maybe I should check it out.
ReplyDeleteThey've been planning it for four years now, it was moved from one network to other, and now it should finally air, if they don't postpone it again, that is.
DeleteI may have to watch the movie, though I'm not into SF. The series will give people something to look forward to, especially if quarantine gets extended again (which I think it will. Allison and Mariah's schools have already closed for the remainder of the year).
ReplyDeleteThey expect the worse will be over somewhere in June, but that we still might continue with social distancing for up to two years more. First vaccine from China should be ready in June too. But unlike your country, we do have curfews, closed borders and most shops, all schools and cafes and restaurants, and older than 65 haven't been allowed out for three weeks now, poor bastards :(
DeleteI just got a lot of masks from China from a few of Jason's vendors who sent them to us as a goodwill gesture, so I know I'll be wearing them any time I step foot out of the house well into summer.
DeleteNice to hear it, deary, you can iron them with a very hot iron after wearing to kill the germs and use it again.
DeleteBrilliant idea!
DeleteThat's how people roll over here, if it is a fabric mask you can put it in boiling water.
