David Tennant and Emily Watson will play a married couple again
idyllically on an Mediterranean island down in Greece. But their happiness comes to an end when their visiting son gets killed by a local youth. Dan, grief stricken, is offered a chance at revenge by a dangerous stranger who won’t take no for an answer, but the price of revenge is one more murder.

Speaking of very tense thrillers, check out the first trailer for Sandra Bullock's BIRD BOX which will hit Netflix and selected cinemas December 21st! The cast also includes Tom Hollander, John Malkovich, Jacki Weaver and Rosa Salazar. 
In the wake of an unknown global terror, a mother must find the strength to flee with her children down a treacherous river in search of safety. Due to unseen deadly forces, the perilous journey must be made blindly. This fantasy thriller with an apocalyptic setting is directed by Academy Award winner Susanne Bier!

  2. Parent predeceased by child - that's the worst life tragedy that could happen to someone.
    I'm too 'faint of heart' to watch "Quiksand", especially that the movie doesn't end with the son's death and the price of a new murder has to be paid.

  3. Bird Box was the book I just mentioned reading here the other day. I don't think the trailer looks like they stuck with the book too closely. I would not have chosen Sandra Bullock for the lead role. Love her, but she's too old for the character in the book. They changed a few key elements as well, so I hope they describe this as a very loose adaptation. I hope the movie describes what the creatures from the story are, because we never learned exactly what they were by the end of the book.
