BBC One has revealed the cast for their WW2 series
WORLD ON FIRE which will tell the story of the war through the lives of ordinary people from all sides of this global conflict. The 7 part saga tells the story of the first year of the war, starting with the German invasion of Poland in September 1939 and ending with the Battle of Britain. It follows a young translator in Warsaw, a factory worker in Manchester, a war correspondent, a family from Berlin etc.
Lesley Manville, Jonah Hauer King, Helen Hunt and
Julia Brown will lead the cast next to Zofia Wichłacz, Brian J Smith, Parker Sawyers, Tomasz Kot, Bruno Alexander, Johannes Zeiler and Eugénie Derouand.

I hope we get a chance to see "World on Fire" sometime here in North America. Maybe next year on PBS?
