EPIC FRIDAY: MICHAEL CAINE IS LORD BORESH NEXT TO BEN FOSTER IN 'MEDIEVAL' 14TH CENTURY EPIC ADVENTURE! LEGENDARY 'BLACK SAM' 18TH CENTURY PIRATE GETS HIS OWN EPIC MOVIE!

   MICHAEL CAINE JOINS
BEN FOSTER IN 'MEDIEVAL'
A week ago I informed you that Ben Foster will lead Czech historical epic MEDIEVAL and now he is joined by no other but Michael Caine. In the
Michael Caine will play Lord Boresh
English language film that will follow their 14th century hero Jan Zizka, Caine will be Lord Boresh, the right hand of the Czech King Wenceslaus IV.
MEDIEVAL will revolve around their national hero Jan Zizka of Trocnov, a revered military tactician who defeated armies of the Teutonic Order and the Holy Roman Empire. He is known for his innovative strategies and for quickly training peasants to face skilled and armoured opponents who usually outnumbered his own troops. The film will also depict his relationship with a local heiress and his fight against a rival king.

   'BLACK SAM' 18TH CENTURY
PIRATE ROBIN HOOD MOVIE
Whom would you like to play Black Sam?
In other news from the historical genre today, Deadline reports that Rosalind Ross will pen the script for BLACK SAM,  the true life story of vigilante pirate Samuel Bellamy! He was an impoverished colonist turned pirate who waged a year long war against British oppression in the early 18th century. Dubbed “Sam the Good,” Bellamy was considered the Robin Hood of pirates; he ruled his fleet democratically, freed slaves, and stole from wealthy, British merchants to give to the poor. Despite his short career, Sam remains the wealthiest pirate in recorded history.

  1. I understand that "Medieval" is a czech production; so, I dislike it that a national hero like general Jan Zizka is played by a foreign actor (Ben Foster). I'll be surprised if the Czech people will ignore that.

    1. They cast foreign actors to bring international attention to the film. Richard Burton once played our great leader Tito in a WW2 film. The problem here is that Ben Foster is not really a good actor, that is the offensive part :( Sometimes they do go too far, like when they've put a black actor to play Greek prince Achiles and also Zeus in a BBC series.
