THE STORY OF RUINS
Set in the ruins of post WWII Germany, the story follows a Holocaust survivor (Margot Robbie takes the role originally meant for Gal Gadot) who is forced to make an unlikely alliance with an ex-SS captain (Matthias Schoenaerts)
in her quest to exact revenge. Together, they
hunt down the surviving members of the captain’s former Nazi death
squad.

Holocaust survivor seeking revenge - that's not an unusual topic.
ReplyDeleteMargot Robbie looks very glamorous in the poster. They'll probably have to "fix" her looks for the role of a death camp survivor.
She's not an overly good actress, but they seem to be pushing her onto us big time lately :)

I'm reminded of a real life story that's similar to Ruins, except instead of seeking revenge, the woman sought out the officer who made her life a living you-know-what in order to look him in the eye, shake his hand, and tell him that she forgave him. I can't even imagine the amount of courage that would take.
